The "good for only 1 half Packers" have been awful, in 1 half of each game.

I hope that's MLF in his ear saying, "It's now or nevermore in GB."
AR12 reads/hears from the media, relays that to MiLF, who tells Joe B. Carroll.
Sounds like the players lobbied for some changes
I'll believe it when I see it.
The best coaches are the ones that adapt. There is a fine line between adapting and knee-jerking. And some coaches confuse adapting with knee-jerking.
MMβ¦βwe do what we do.β
What concerns me about Dingle Barry is that he seems to have needed people to tell him βtime to adapt.β He didnβt realize it on his own.
Every dipshit that I knew as a child and through the magic of Facebook, I am able to monitor their current life statusβ¦..is still a dipshit.
Joe Barry is a dipshit.

Calling the new game plan flawless? Yup even dumber!

We could take up a collection.
The first time a corner gets beat deep he will piss his pants and go back to zone.
Just listened to his presser today ...talking about second half "A couple of bad luck things happened to us and created a little bit of a landslide" WTF ....does not sound like a guy who can hold players responsible.
Defensive disappointment continues and at some point the organization needs to look at the coaching.
I wouldn't call giving up 27 points to BUF in their house a disapoitment. They have had 2 other home games this year:
41-7 vs Titans
38- 3 - Steelers
That said, I don't like Barry either.
First half defensive performance was pretty disappointing.
Just not impressed
Not a good sign if weβre picking up coaches from Detroits scrap heap if you ask me
It's not a good sign that we're getting leftovers from Detroit; but on the other hand, it's a good sign MLF is asking for a D guy to challenge him and how he thinks offensively, and that he added a coach in the middle of the season rather than waiting until the end. Now, let's see if Pleasant really tells MLF how it is or just wants to keep a job...
I can't find the story, but I read where the Packers did the same thing earlier this year, but it was an offensive coach (from the Vikings?) hired as a defensive consultant.
It referenced comments by MLF where it was to offer a different perspective for the defensive coaches, much like the comments about Pleasant.
I remember when the Packers hired Mike McCarthy, who had just presided over one of the worst offenses in NFL history in SF. That worked out well for us for a while. I have concluded we don't really know why someone failed in one place and succeeded in another.
Maybe this guy told MLF to cut Amari Rodgers. Who knows?

If he was the first guy to tell MLF to cut Amari, this organization is in big trouble.
Several things seem pretty clear to me after that performance: very doubtful that Joe Barry returns next year, MLF made a mistake with the hire and it turns out the resume was a pretty good predictor after all.
Rasul is a ball hawk and has the potential to become a Woodson type if he was used that way.
Not sure he'd leave the CFL, but if the Packers want an out of the box, unbelievable DC, they will go try to get Hamilton Tiger-Cats HC Orlondo Steinauer.
Dude is an absolute wizard, and will craft the defense to fit the personnel he has to work with. He doesn't have a "system," he believes in, he has principles he believes in and knows how to take the talent he has at his disposal and work with it. I witnessed what he did in one year at Fresno State...it was a miracle.
But he's never been an NFL coach, so I am sure the old boys network wouldn't risk it.
Spoon with a bang-on eval of the situation with Barry...sorry it's subscriber only

But the highlights for non-subscribers...
MLF made a mistake hiring Barry over Evero who has Denvers D ranked #2 currently.
MLF must have the nutsack to make big changes to the defensive staff this off-season, but he can't fire Barry now mid-season...will send the wrong message and will make any future DC leery of coming to work for him.
Firing a DC mid-season is usually reserved for HC about to lose their jobs, and MLF isn't in danger of that.
Basically Spoon says MLF needs to man-up and admit it was a bad hire. 2 years is enough time for Barry to prove he can or can't get the job done.
It actually worked great when he had the talent. It's difficult to tell if the D is underperforming more because of Barry or because of lack of talent.

wouldn't, by definition, a team underperforming not be the result of lack of talent
(lots of negatives in that sentence, I'm not sure I even understand myself)
We have 7 First Round draft choices on defense. Add to that the fact that, IMHO the following players are individually playing worse than last season; Alexander, Stokes, Savage (or just as bad), Amos, Clark, Campbell, Douglas ..... it speaks to coaching / leadership / motivation.....which all comes back on the coaches. No question that we had more defensive talent on the field than the Titans did Thursday .... but who had the better defense?
