My theory is MLF is an insecure guy so he would prefer to surround himself with lesser coaches to 1) make himself look better and 2) never have to worry about relinquishing control or threatening his power.

Barry should have been canned about 3 times by now.  But he won’t.  And my guess is with Murphy around one more year to go they won’t be making any coaching changes.  Why would they?  If they make the playoffs or at least threaten the playoffs the FO and MLF and his lackeys will be doing a victory lap.  

With no owner these important decision makers are way too comfortable in their roles and it’s easy to not be accountable or hold others to a certain standard of performance.  Not to say I want GB to have a meddling or overbearing guy like Tepper in Carolina but in GB there is no check and balance system.

Reading between the lines, lies, and specifically odd ramblings from Jaire, I think he feels restricted in Barry's scheme. JA spoke out last year IIRC.

I think there is 1 thing that will get Barry shit canned. A season ending embarrassing loss at home to the Bares with the playoffs on the line.

Mahomes does that shit. Damndest thing I ever saw a QB do. He's not even close to being sacked but will run around in a circle turning his back to his lineman and receivers. I  have seen him do it several times and he did it once vs. GB with no one near him. Watch for it next time you you see a Chefs game.

I'm not sure firing Joe Barry is the right thing to do.

But I'm fairly certain it isn't the wrong thing to do.

If Harris ever did get the experience needed to become a DC, I feel confident in saying that the entire D would have a much different attitude than it does now.

I am sick of cream puff defenses in Geen Bay.

I want mean, nasty, hard-hitting push the envelope Ray Lewis style defense without penalty flags. I'll even accept a couple penalties in the right situation.

I want defense so effing nasty the NFL competition committee has to change the rules to help the offense again.

Barry was asked about DeVito's 71 yards rushing last week. at his weekly presser yesterday. he talked about it being difficult for 4 rushers to cover 6 "escape gaps" for the QB ....The obvious question ...that wasn't asked , was "then why didn't you rush 5?"
