I think he will be stayed for another year.  i know i am wrong, but i have a suspicion that he will want another draft under gutey and pettine at the ropes to giver er a try.  you all know that a new coach and system will normally be about a 2-3 year build up right?

Yeah, sure, like all those extra years we gave Capers. Why not????

No, it won't.

The Heckler:

I am firmly in the NO for Jim Harbaugh but I think John Harbaugh would be an ok fit.

Ravens style has been a dominant defense with a no mistake ball control offense.  My guess is defense is Harbaugh's forte.  I think the Packers fit would be a HC that is stronger on the offensive side of the ball where Pettine is more than enough on D.

So I don't know that he is a good fit.

Didn’t see this posted. A lot is a rehash of what’s been discussed on this thread, with a couple of exceptions. Most notably, the payoff of seeing things through during the years coaches struggle. I’ve always seen parallels between Pittsburg and GB, Tomlin and McCarthy. Big struggles for that club this year and look where they are now. But I don’t know Pittsburgh as well as others, so I don’t know if there are other X Factors.

Is it? Someone should inform Doug Pederson and Sean McVay.

The video makes a very convincing argument.

MM runs the same offense as he did in 2011 when he'd line up Greg Jennings (28 years old), Jordy Nelson (26), James Jones (27), Randall Cobb (21), and Jermichael Finley (24). The 4th and 5th DBs were so overmatched in that scheme with Rodgers as a QB it was almost unfair. That's why when Flynn had to play they still looked good. The depth of talent was off the charts.

MM continued the run the same schemes in games like the 2015 Arizona playoff game where he had Janis, Abbrederis, Richard Rodgers, and James Jones (a washed-up 31 year old version). And Rodgers still almost won that game by throwing two of the best Hail Mary passes you'll ever see in the same drive.

This brand new Brett Kollman video sums up exactly what I have been thinking and why MM needs to go.

So Sunday night the Patriots playing without their preferred starting left tackle, right guard, top two running backs once White went down, and of course Gronk are able to incorporate newly-acquired Josh Gordon into the passing offense and use wide receiver Cordarelle Patterson at RB in putting up 31 points.

They of course used two big trick plays to help the cause.

On the other sideline we line up like we did the past 10 years and say go ahead try and stop us, and NE did.

The Packers have been tired and stale for several years now.

Murphy started the cleansing process by sending Ted packing last year. He needs to show Mike the door this season to get the remaining stench out.

That game, more than the Rams loss, proved that point.

They were undermanned and ready to be beaten. But they outcoached us.

I do agree with this. They hit the two big plays on offense & confused AR & the offense by changing defenses at the snap. Their DBs talked about it after the game.

Did I hear that Kevin Harlan last night said that the Packers are 10th in the NFC.?  10th???  How do they even begin to make that up......wow.

You win games and other teams lose games. Often the former has a direct impact on the latter.

You’re welcome.

Great point - We all said the same thing about Dom - when he had Nick Collins & C. Woodson his defense was excellent.

Players not plays. MM needs to evolve & understand his personnel & place them in the best position to succeed. That's what a good coach does - We see it every week with multiple teams. Obviously the Pats, Eagles, Chiefs...hell even the BEARS are doing right by Trubisky.

MM needs to adjust & stop playing street ball with the best QB on the planet.

I am surprised Rodgers didn't try to throw the TD to MVS & instead went underneath to Adams. (from the video) Don't get that one.

We made up 3 places yesterday, Goldie. Positioned 7th as of this morning.

Whew......that’s better.    Still a long way to go.....and damn Thurs night game.

We're only 2 games behind in the division.

Chicago still has to play MIN twice, and also face the Rams and the GBP.

MIN has an upcoming schedule of CHI, GBP, Pats and SEA

The season is a loooong way from being over, and we're still in the thick of things.  I like our chances, especially with the way our defense is playing.
