"EKB heard from two different sources that the Packers are indeed that is seriously thinking of putting in a claim for {unnamed NFL player}. They are doing their due diligence on him to the point that McCarthy was late to the taping of his TV show {unconfirmable, but a nice touch}. {Player} would be used in {recently injured players} role the remainder of the season and provide insurance in case {another player} is out longer than they think and open {current player} up to {matchup advantage} the same way {hype machine} did for {player on another team}."

This is like madlibs for the NFL waiver wire. Just change the unconfirmable detail to get the dummies drooling.

They are doing their due diligence on him to the point that Capers stayed late at the practice facility to watch film. I think the first sentence should be "had any balls"

That was my first thought too, a great moment for a team leader to step up

Yep, on HWY 61. This where I eat after I get my killing done.

In my younger days, I made a pilgrimage to Minneapolis to see Dylan in his home state. I was very tempted to steal one of the HWY 61 roadsigns while up there, but the whole felony aspect of it scared me off.

Yes, I'm a major pussy.

Post of the year? I'm kind of thinking so.

Hell, that's just a few miles from my house. I'm right by 3M. I have to head down there and give them a try.

My wife and I ate at some pizza place some years ago, and you could see the red 3M sign for their facility from our table. Don't remember the name of the place, but it was quite good.

If you like, I could probably figure out where it was so you can eat there again if you're in town. Wasn't Red's Savoy Pizza, was it?

Make sure you tell them how you found out about them.

Oh, I will. I'll wear a Packer jersey, and tell them I'm an emissary of good will from Packer Nation, on a mission of solidarity.

I honestly can't remember. This was probably 10-12 years ago. I seem to remember a grayish-blue exterior, and it was on a bit of a hill, overlooking the road...although time and other factors Big Grin may be clouding my memory slightly.
Boy, you can't make this stuff up. It just gets better and better. Vikings fans on some of their message boards are now saying that they believe the Queens will file a grievance against the Patriots and try to get their draft pick back.

Oh, god, I hope they do this. Please let this circus get even further out of control. Pleasegodpleasegodpleasegodpleasegodplease...

Was it a dedicated pizza place, or just a restaurant that served pizza? If you can't remember, I don't mean to badger you. But now my curiosity is piqued. I'm really wondering now where this might be....

I was thinking the same thing, except for the "locally owned" part. Other than that, it fits - frontage road, right across the street from 3M, great pizza. Heck, it's practically across the street from my house. I should go over there and have some pizza, ask 'em if they've ever seen Fond Du Arrigo there. I'm sure they'd remember.

JAPF, are you in the Cities?
