Yes... and anyone who didn't see this coming is naïve as fuck,   You can't fix racism with racist policy.

How the fuck could the Rooney rule work in the real world?   Jethro, racist as fuck owner, will not hire a black candidate.   Because of the Rooney rule, he has to interview Jamal.   Do we really think Jamal is going to go into that interview and suddenly Jethro is not going to racist because Jamal is such a good interview?   Give me a fucking break.   Where is the common sense?

We should just let racists do their thing. I’m being serious. If the rest of us are so opposed to it, we should boycott the product. Cancel culture. Why are so many opposed to it?

Systems like the Rooney rule rarely work.

The guy responsible for developing Jace Sternberger and Josh DeGuara got a promotion?

That's called capitalism.    If Billy doesn't want to sell wedding cakes to mixed race couples, Billy's business probably won't last long.   The market will correct Billy and it will correct him without mercy.

Call it what you want, it works. Even racists are opposed to losing money, and funny enough they are opposed to hate from the rest of society if it is targeted at them.

Hue Jackson now saying he and other Browns executives were given bonuses to tank games in 2016-17.

Jimmy Haslem îs defintely someone the NFL does not want deposed. I can imagine Flores/Jackson's attorneys might bring up that 92 million Flying J settlement for fraud a few years ago as a way to establish his character.

Jackson has some reasons to be pissed at the NFL and no reason not to jump on board (he's probably never coaching in the NFL again). He was fired after one year with the Raiders in 2012 where he went 8-8. They went 4-12 the next year. Interestingly, Reggie McKenzie was the GM how fired him. He then went to Cleveland and was a sacrificial lamb (just like it appears Culley was for the Texans this year). The fact he worked for the Raiders might be another way for the class action suit to get access to the Washington/Snyder emails since that was the basis for leaking the information that got Gruden fired from the Raiders.

The sadly ironic thing is that Jackson's information will likely get Andrew Berry in a lot of trouble. Berry is one of the few African-American GMs in football.

In another tweet, the executive director of Jackson’s foundation Kimberley Diemert said they had records that would support Flores’ case and wrote that Jackson and team executives Sashi Brown, Paul DePodesta, and Andrew Berry — who is now the team’s General Manager — were paid bonus money to tank in 2016 and 2017. Jackson replied by saying he “can back up every word I’m saying.”

Flores’ suit was filed as a class action, which leaves room for others to join the litigation. Jackson’s comments suggest he’d be willing to do that.

Tying the idea of societal well being to money, what could go wrong he says as he scrolls back the calendar to 1980 after hearing Milton Friedman giving vagaries about how the market will correct morals?

Sounds like the trickle down theory for tax cuts to the wealthy and how it would stimulate the economy and benefit the middle and lower class. Didn’t work!

Trivia time!  I love sharing this point over and over again.

Do you know what "trickle down theory" was originally called?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Horse and Sparrow.  Stuff the horse with enough grain and there will be plenty of grain left over in the horseshit for the sparrows to pick out.

MARKETING!!!

You are right. Guys like Dan Snyder and the other Jethro's are never going to hire the minority candidate. There is some value in the long run of having guys come in and go through the interview process because they meet with a lot of other people besides the Jethros.

For example, let's say you were a candidate to replace Holmgren in 1998 and you came in to interview (clearly not a racial problem in this case because they hired Rhodes, but just using it as example). You'd obviously meet with Ron Wolf and probably Bob Harlan, but you'd also have gotten to talk to John Dorsey, Ted Thompson, Reggie McKenzie, etc. Maybe you don't have a real chance, but the opportunity to sit in a room and talk with those other guys for an hour or so may open a door for you a few years later when Dorsey is looking to hire someone and remembers how good you were in your interview.

Down the road those connections and networking opportunities may provide unforeseen opportunities. The problem is that takes years or decades to pay off.

Calling people "Jethros" is in itself racist.

Since when do the mods let a tool like Jaymo return under a different moniker?

DJ my ass

I get a kick out of the NFL and their continued ability to step on their own dicks.  So you’re saying the Rooney Rule isn’t working?   No shit.

But is it about racism or that old rich white guys simply don’t like being told what to do?   I mean, Ross in Miami is an idiot but I don’t think he’s Donald Sterling.

By the way, Hue Jackson making any claims is hilarious.

Yes, it did work. It worked under JFK, under Reagan, and under Trump.

In fact, as an example, the best real wage growth in 40-years took place after the Trump tax cuts.

If he had been reading so long before becoming a poster he would know exactly who Jaymo is.  There have been a few other things that don't add up either.  He seemed to know who kworst was and he was way before Jaymo.

I've seen his name mentioned, I just don't recall any posts by Jaymo.  And what else doesn't add up, pray tell?
