Some context, potentially: the woman supposedly went after his sister calling out her "dead babies" after his sister had had multiple miscarriages. Still don't condone his actions, but it does make more sense as to why he'd "break character".

So any time someone insults his family, man woman or child, he’s going to ground and pound them? Definitely don’t want him. Again he’s an incident waiting to happen.

Disagree.  People are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them.  They are allowed to mature, to grow and to become better human beings.  One incident shouldn't be a lifetime indictment on one's character.

I'm moving on.  It's draft day baby!!

You learn from mistakes, you only realize something is a mistake when there are consequences. There’s been no consequence for Simmons. You’re only saying that because you like his skills as a football player, if he wasn’t good then you wouldn’t give a shit about his second chance. Tyreek Hill got a second chance after beating his pregnant girlfriend, then he broke that kids arm. People don’t change. The NFL needs to take a stand against violence against women and children, they need to make examples of offenders.
