Just playing with mocks it appears the Packers will need to get at least one starter via Free Agency. Guys at a reasonable price I'd like to see them target:

Joe Schobert - Can cover and blitz from around the linebacker level, plus he's only 26.

Beau Allen - Rotational guy who's not much of a pass rusher but good against the run, and should be fairly cheap.

Kyle Van Noy - Similar to Schobert, but maybe even more versatile.

Danny Trevathan - Higher risk due to injury, but he can play, when healthy.

Jimmy Smith/Kendall Fuller/Ronald Darby - They could really use another corner who can play meaningful snaps in dime or if/when injuries occur.

Donโ€™t sleep on Sullivan.   Kid can play.

Once upon a time, not all that long ago, the NFL would not allow players to compete in an arm-wrestling competition in Las Vegas; or award that city the Pro-Bowl. Now they are all in with a franchise based there. What could possibly go wrong with people who work for the team living in that city year-round?

Because players living in Oakland are surrounded by positive influences.

I didn't specify players, and I doubt many if any players lived in Oakland year-round. And if you don't see the massive potential for trouble with all that gambling business and money in Las Vegas well, what can I say.

You didn't mention players? OK, Boomer.

So Oakland wasn't a problem because you doubt they lived there year round but Vegas is going to be a problem because different reasons?

You do realize sports gambling is legal in 16 states now, right? With more to follow soon. All but around 8 or 9 states are moving towards it.

9 teams including the Raiders are in states that have legal sports gambling. If you are talking gambling in general then just about every team lives near a casino. You worried about Aaron Jones spending too much time at the Packers official casino?

Even so, Sullivan is the third corner at a position with zero depth and a player who usually misses time. There also wasn't a safety that moved the needle at all. There's just so little depth on the back end and it showed at times last year.

I'm changing my pick in the first round. I had picked ILB Kenneth Murray of Oklahoma. Now, I read, in a few articles, that he is not a great run stopper. So, maybe Patrick Queen of LSU? If I went WR, I'd go Laviska Shenault, Jr or Jalen Reagor or Denzel Mims or KJ Hamler of Penn St., who could all be available at the Packers 1st Round pick. Shenault and Mims can catch the ball and Reagor and Hamler are the speedsters  left on the board, at our pick. Both Reagor and Hamler can be used on STs, as well. It would be nice to see a speedy WR opposite Davante. Another WR to look at, in the later rounds, is Jauan Jennings.

I actually think there are some really good options for filling GB's needs in this draft. If I had my choice here are the moves I make and the draft that corresponds:

Cap Space: $26.74M

Cut (+21.05M):
Corey Linsley - $8.5M
Jimmy Graham - $8M
Lane Taylor - $4.55M

Adjusted Cap Space: $47.8M

Re-sign (-$22.1M in 2020):
Bulaga - 3 year/$30M/Fully Guaranteed - $10M per year
KC - 4 year extension/$70M/$25M Guaranteed - $17.5M average ($7.69M in year 1)
ERFA - $4.5M

UFA Signing (-$9M in 2020):
LB Joe Schobert - 4 year/$58M/$20M Guaranteed - $5.5M in 2020                             - Elite in all the ways GB needs at ILB
CB Brian Poole - 3 year/$30M/$10M Guaranteed - $3.3M in 2020                               - Really underrated Slot CB, would help tremendously

Draft (-$5M):
Round 1: Tyler Biadasz/C/Wisconsin - Rock in the middle of the OL
Round 2: Brandon Aiyuk/WR/Arizona St. - Gamebreaker
Round 3: Shaq Quarterman/ILB/Miami - Stout run stuffer to pair with JS
Round 4: Lynn Bowden/WR/Kentucky - Gambreaking utility player
Round 5: Jack Driscoll/OT/Auburn - Bulaga-esque player
Round 6: Anthony Gordon/QB/Wazzu - Shockingly underrated developmental guy
Round 7: BPA

Cap Space Remaining: $11.7M
