The two LB’s I really like are KJ Britt out of Auburn and  Milo Eifler out of Illinois.  Probably late day 2 and day 3 prospects. No need to reach here.

My constant theme for the Packers on defense is to acquire players that β€œPlay Fast & Violent & Physical.”  Give me a crew of that to go to WAR! It’s time to clear the roster of guys like Oren Burks & Lowry etc etc. It will only make the special teams better too!

kJ Britt is SEC Speed to the ball all the way. A two down thumper(Violent Play) that can go down hill and shut shit down. He also has the speed and instincts to get out on the edge.  He would be an upgrade over Barnes.  He got bogged down a little in 2020 behind a regressed Auburn front.

Milo Eifler is an under the raider prospect that brings Violent speed and aggressiveness to the football. He can cover space and ATTACK the target. Super twitchy athlete that can be developed into a great coverage LB and contribute on special teams on Day 1.  This guy is GOLD!

Nailed it. I got shafted on the 2nd and 3rd trades, but I got the guys I wanted. PFF grades are too harsh, I think every single one of these guys will play a lot their rookie years. Nick Bolton just turned 21 yesterday, kid has A LOT of good football in him. Newsome at 56 is a steal, same with Rodgers at 123. Also this draft is assuming we sign a couple of UFA DL to fill out depth there.

Newsome will not be there in the 2nd...maybe not in the first, either, at least not at 29. He would be an A++ grade in the second, for sure.

If you had your choice of these 3 players in the first round at 29, who would you take?

Bolton, Collins, or Newsome? I've found it a rather tough choice, but I'd go with Collins.

Honestly, any of the three would be great. Zaven Collins at 29 would be a gift right now. He’s like Brian Urlacher. Bolton needs to test well, if he runs sub-4.5 then I think he really compares favorably to Devin White as that alpha ILB who triggers fast and runs with any skill player. Newsome is a Jaire clone, from an attitude and style standpoint, and the fact that he also runs sub-4.4 makes him very enticing.

I may be repeating this for a long time but...what if "1265" is just fine with only making it to the NFCCG, so long as they stay competitive ever year?  This question nags at me.

Then us fans will not be happy.  But we will still be the best in our division.  If GB is playing the NFCCG then the Vikings, Bears, and Lions are not.  And the NFL will rename the NFCCG "The Green Bay Invitational".

At some point, you need to go all in. That doesn't mean you're the Bears and trade away all your draft capital... πŸ˜†

Maybe go with quality over quantity.... just make smart picks and smart moves.

Collins, and it's not close. I think CB is deep enough they can move on one Day 2.

Watch, they'll all three be there and Gute will trade back, all three will be gone and he'll reach on Pat Friemuth because he wants the best blocking TE.

I agree it should be Collins...it's the middle of the defense that needs another playmaker. The other guys would still make great picks.

There's no argument that GB has had an impressive run for over two decades.  Being in the conversation for a championship run every year has just become normal and it is easy to take that for granted.  The flip side is that 2 SB wins during that time is very disappointing, if not completely unacceptable, especially when you consider the talent at QB GB has enjoyed.

Whether we like it or not, I don't think GB is an "all-in" organization.  I'd love for them to restructure AR's contract to create some cap space and bring in some dogs on defense... but I'd be surprised if that happened.

Over past couple of decades, the void at ILB for the Packers has been similar to the void at QB for the Bears. Packers a β€œguy” that proves productive for a season, maybe two. But no stability at the position. Like the Bears QB carousel.

The flip side, Bears have had good/great MLB play for decades, much like the Packers QB sitch.

Guess that’s what I get for replying while driving and eating a burger on the interstate. No stroke. Just bad autocorrect.  I’ll edit, let me pull over and put my sundae down.

Don’t be  such a pussy. Last year, while I was winning the Indy 500 I was able to drop perfect posts on X4 taking pains to insult Fedya each time.
