Like many, I didn’t think they drafted Dillon to replace Jones- they drafted him to replace Williams. He’s this team’s Edgar Bennett- nice player, good value, good locker room guy... but when you can upgrade you do it.

Jones isn’t a 300 carry guy. Thunder and lightning and both can catch out of the backfield.

If your using 2nd round picks to replace Williams then your not getting it done!

Shit response.  I'm skeptical.

Skeptical of what?  People can disagree with me all they want.  I don’t like it for several reasons. It’s a popular signing now but we’ll see. Once again I love me some Aaron Jones too but I’m not sure this is the best move going forward.  Lets not let the popularity of player complicate the facts.

No.1- When has paying RB’s big $ worked out so well over the long haul? Show me all the success in it?

No.2- We just drafted a guy in the 2nd round to carry this load.

No. 3- We have an MVP QB and by all accounts the β€œMissing Piece” in the offense(Certainly against Tampa) was a No.2 receiver who could beat press. Rodgers has even talked of wanting another receiver. This is going to make it very difficult if not impossible to make that happen in FA now.

No.4 -  Paying a RB that kind of $ is not something that a competitive roster can usually do over the long haul while having a QB making so much $.  It’s just doesn’t usually add up with other roster delegations and the salary cap.

I just love how everyone can get on board with overpaying the RB position while drafting it high  but basically ignoring the receiver position for three years now. To me this is a move is to help out a younger inexperienced QB that you project playing sooner then later.  Most likely in the 2022 Season.

I like Aaron Jones but looking at the landscape of the Packers roster I’m not sure I’m so excited. This looks more like a move you make when you have a QB on a rookie deal. Not sure it’s all going to fit together.

a) the Packers roster on 3/14 is irrelevant to the upcoming season. a.1) i'm betting Packers fan is excited.

b) the Packers have a QB on a rookie deal.

c) it's a good thing then that you're not in charge.

LOL, the same No.2 WR who went off for 115 yards and a TD against Tampa? OK!

BTW, when has having a star #2 WR been such a vital component for a championship team?

You pay good players regardless of position. End off.

No need to pile on Brandon, he has a valid take. I don’t necessarily agree with it, but I can see where this might not be a slam dunk. That said, even with the late 2nd spent on Dillon last year, I like the move quite a bit, and think they’ll make a hell of a tandem going forward. Both skilled players, very different styles, and the RB position tends to have a lot of injuries.

Well Devante Adams is the highest graded/rated receiver 1 on 1 in the NFL. Getting the correct piece or pieces  to keep him in that match up is the most VALUABLE thing the Packers could of done!

Don’t also forget to leave out that Packer receivers led the NFL in drops for 5 and half football fields long in yardage!!  Total Fail!!! They also ranked near the bottom minus Adams in press coverage!!

Yeah,  let’s pay a RB 13 million!!!! Einstein!!!

They also played in easily the most productive offense in the league. Your use of statistics are a fucking mess.  We don’t NEED a #2 WR.

Resorting to the β€œEinstein” name calling? Not a proportional response. Let’s cease with the personal stuff.

Fuck him. He is already losing his shot and we haven’t even started to pile on yet.

Wasn’t productive in the 4th quarter against Tampa when it counted now was it? LOL!!

”I Can’t Get Open Coach” LOL!!!!!

It's simple.  In this offense, Jones is absolutely worth the coin.  That said, if MVS doesn't get his shit together and be a consistent player, they absolutely need another WR.  I like the idea of a vet like TY Hilton but if there is a legit Adams/Jordy like pick available in the draft, you take the guy.

NEED, no! The Vikings have 2 top WRs every year and win fuck all. We don’t need a star no.2 WR. We need more star players. Players like Aaron Jones.

Yes, need.  Who said "star"?  I'd rather see the draft capital spent on defense but if it's the "trust the board" schtick and the right WR is there, you take him.  You guys seem to think this team is super deep at WR.  You have Adams while banking on MVS to be consistent with Allen Lazard.

Just like cheddar cheese, Rodgers makes everything better.  It doesn't mean you look at one of the worst stocked positions on this team and say everything is all good.
