Lots of good quality RB with very good size/speed combos. There aren't any elite RB IMO, but a group of about 5-7 guys who would be difference makers for the Packers. The drop off after that is severe...there will be no Aaron Jones type guys in this draft.

Order of preference for me for the Packers...

1. Jaylen Wright, Tennessee
2. Trey Benson, Florida State
3. Isaac Guerendo, Louisville
4. Bucky Irving, Oregon
5. Will Shipley, Clemson
6. Tyrone Tracy, Purdue
7. Marshawn Lloyd, USC

After that, I just don't see anyone worth getting excited about for the Packers. Sorry Badger fans, I think Braelon Allen is Fool's Gold in this scheme. He is better suited to another team.

Assuming you mean everyone after Brock Bowers who is highly rated and mostly mocked to the Jets at #10.

Yeah there is always an outlier, even in bad years. Bowers is super athletic, but far from ideal at 6'3" and not a particularly great blocker. But he has wheels, and just finds a way to get open...for the right team, he will be a great weapon. Jets would be smarter to spend the top 10 on a franchise LT...of which there should be 2 or 3 left at that spot. He will pay longer dividends than Bowers for them, IMO.

Meh, it doesn't mention the 2000 draft with Clifton, Tauscher, KGB, Diggs and Franks. Bookend tackles for a decade and a premium edge rusher in one draft? That's some major value. Diggs and Franks played a long time, as well, and Gary Berry's neck injury derailed a guy who was looking very good early.

Not that the Packers Cap Guy is my go-to on personnel decisions, but in this case he's not wrong. To me, anything less than 3 OL in this draft given the load of picks and depth of the position is going to be disappointing. Dillard No Bueno.

I saw a report about Gute maybe moving up for a CB. The guys mentioned that he'd move up for were Terrion Arnold, Kool Aid McKinstry and Quinyon Mitchell. The article said Arnold was the smartest CB, of these three, Kool Aid was a solid player and that Quinyon Mitchell was the article's pick as, basically, the best CB on the board. If Gute moves up to draft one of these guys, what does that mean for Stokes? It is also interesting that this article did not mention Cooper Dejean, at all.

Belichick was on McAfee talking about the draft (was a really good interview, Billy B dropped a lot of insider knowledge) and one of the things he talked about was how nothing is ever really leaked from the teams until about 12 hours before the draft.  And that almost everything you hear about what teams want to do up until that point are being leaked by agents for players to attempt to boost their draft stock.

So basically everything you hear right now is full of shit.

U-G-L-Y, that boy ain't got no alibi. He ugly!

Seriously, what were the Packers thinking with this move?
Camp fodder?
Planning to try him at RT or move him inside?

I don't want Love playing behind that!

Which wouldn't surprise me if Gutekunst waits on a speedy RB until late. A couple of guys to revisit.

Obligatory Isaac Guerendo mention. He also has the desired size.

Watson is built somewhat like Aaron Jones and is a good receiver.

Tracy is a little bigger but not quite as fast in a straight line, but his agilities are wicked, even better than Guerendo's. Could be a Raheem Mostert or Tevin Coleman type:  Vision is spotty, but if he sees it he can hit it.

He apparently gave up 12 sacks last year. 12! That’s crazy.

How did he play for his previous team for 4 years? Was it just a poor fit for the Titans?

He was drafted by the Eagles.  Had a serious injury In year 1 or 2.  It’s surprising because the Eagles have a long term OL coach (from Alabama I believe) who is highly rated and has produced good OLinemen for the last 10 years.

Of all the RB I've watched this year TT is the closest to the Jones comp I've watched.  Does all the things MLF needs him to be able to do. A little more versatile than Guerendo...but the size/speed combo for Isaac is tantalizing!

Tracy would be a great pic around five or later. He has great hands. Played some wide receiver at Iowa.  Was stuck behind Tyler Goodson on the running back chart

The diabolical offensive mind of Brian Ferentz didn’t utilize  him properly

Chongo what round does he project to be drafted?

4-5...but given his speed and versatility, I could see someone taking him R3. If he's there in R4 or R5 and Packers haven't addressed it yet, he's a no-brainer.

R3 a little rich for Gutey's blood IMO for him.

.
With one week to go...hat tip to Chongo, Herschel, IC, Boris and others for all the high quality draft content.

Greatly appreciated

Most media talking head types are under this assumption that GMs and coaches are CIA psy ops specialist who's words are carefully and specifically crafted. They create this imagined scenario that everything a coach/gm say is to convince the world the team is going to draft player A, only their real plan is to draft Player B but they've now forced team X to fall in their little trap to trade up and thus create a dominance in the league. When in reality these guys are barely trained to talk to the media and are pretty bad at it, resorting to standard cliches.

The thing about Guerendo ... while he has all-pro speed and is a very intelligent kid, he was constantly hurt in his earlier years in Madison. Couldn't catch a break..I can't remember, and am too lazy to look, how long he was at UW, so maybe he played his way through the always-hurt stage of his younger years.

By any chance does your spouse have Jay Wrights phone number?  If so call him, we need a coach in both a Madison and Milwaukee.

Spent 4 years at Madison, but was injured in years 2 and 3.  In his 1st year he only played in one game with 1 rush and 1 reception.  Year 2  was shortened by hamstring injury.  Year 3  he was out after 4 games with lis franc injury.
