Did someone ask 12 how CTE and concussions may impact his long term health?  And he’s worried about vaccines?

If he lives past 60 he’ll be an outlier.

This is the funny part to me.  He plays a game where the odds of something going horribly wrong are very high.  Yet he's scared of a shot that has adverse side effects in 0.00001% of women on birth control.

I absolutely love this post. Not because it is a demonstration of anything that resembles humanity or righteousness- no, no, definitely not demonstrating anything like that. But because it’s honest and it gets to the core of what this has become about- political ideology turning into hate.

Intellectually dishonest? Really? Has Dr. Fauci and his enforcement arm the CDC and now OSHA been intellectually honest? Mandating a vaccine for children??? You couldn’t say yes with a straight face.

Wishing for β€œdumb fucks to die” reveals the core of the human saying it. And it’s shared by millions of β€œpseudo-intellectuals”. It’s fucking disgusting. But it’s also naive because you don’t see the forest for the trees. Every time you empower the government to enforce what you want, you open the door for the government to enforce what you don’t want. Just need the next β€œit’s for your own good” cause to come down the pipeline.

Yeah, I think I made myself pretty clear on the issue.  You feel you can make the decision for other people that affects all facets of their life but you decry me telling those people to fuck off in what can be considered nothing but self defense.  Hell, if this was Florida I should be able to fucking grease people outright.

Did you go to college?  You have to be vaccinated to attend college unless you have an exemption.  Not many people bitching about those vaccine requirements.  Surely you were vaccinated in the military.  Certainly you decried the tyranny of the armed forces.

You talk about foresight and forest through the trees?  It's fucking laughable.  You vote for a tyrant then turn around and claim tyranny over positive health measures in the midst of a global pandemic.  The same health measures the tyrant actively fought against as people died only to try and take credit for it all.  Tell me exactly who are the tyrants forcing a death sentence or life long health issues because of a manufactured fight for liberty after the tyrant was removed?  You are not a patriot for manufacturing nothing more than a spite fueled obstructionist dogma that literally has life or death consequences for other people.

So let me say this again with the pretext of familial and societal self defense.  Go fucking die.

I'm sure you were up in arms after Wall Street crashed the global economy and the destruction that was foisted onto the American public officially signaling the destruction of the middle class.  I mean exactly what forest are you blundering through?  The fact you can't distinguish a legitimate world wide health and economic crisis vs. the myriad of willful, wanton societal destructive acts for profit is fucking laughable.  Then you have the nerve to talk about tyranny and foresight?  Of course you don't acknowledge the ongoing cycle of disaster capitalism.

But ultimately every single bullshit excuse you regurgitate comes down the point you'll never discuss unless you be thought a bigger idiot than you already are.  The vaccine must be deadly or a cabal plot.  Isn't that right?

So tell me exactly, what's wrong with the vaccine itself?  A simple solution to all of this tyranny you've inflicted on other people.

Go ahead.  Tell me why you'll tout a dewormer medication winning the Nobel Prize but you, as an idiot dumbfucker, think an incredible advance in the fight against all viruses is somehow a plot to rob you of your illusions of freedom?

Tell me how utilizing one function of billions of years of cellular life to save lives, recover the global economy and find a new normal robs you of liberty in a dead 18th century republic?

A while back I took a number classes at Georgetown U. on advanced and intensive medical ethics. This was followed by a seminar. The attendees were all medical professionals. All the hot topics were discussed at length from all points of view. I found myself changing my mind over and over each time someone presented a good argument. The speakers were PHD’s and published professionals in their fields of study. Afterwards we all had coffee and snacks. I miss those days.

I think that we can all agree that we want to be out of this pandemic as quickly as possible.  For me, that means getting as many people vaccinated as possible.  Why should I care if I'm vaccinated?  Mutations.  While I do have an advanced science degree, it is definitely not in this area, so I will defer to the experts in this field that know more than I do.  With that said, my belief is that the virus has more opportunities to mutate into a vaccine resistant virus the longer it is around.  The delta variant is already quite a bit more resistant to the vaccine than the original virus.  Will the next mutation put everyone at risk again, vaccinated or not?  Vaccinating people cuts down on the number of hosts for the virus to mutate.

There was once a farmer who had 100 chickens. All was fine until a fox came along and started killing the birds. The farmer tried to capture the fox but the darn thing was too smart. The only option to save his chickens was to lock them in the coop. Unfortunately, many of the chickens could not stand being confined to the coop and broke the door so they could once again return to the yard. Some of them were taken by the fox and to make matters worse, the fox eventually found the broken door and started coming after the chickens who thought they were safe inside the coop.

So the farmer did the only thing he could. He butchered all the remaining chickens and sold the meat to a National, chicken-based restaurant chain.

The moral of the story is that I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about other than the fact that I like stories about foxes and that I have a hankering for some wings.

There's a huge push for rich nations to get vaccines to poor nations for exactly that reason of mutations.

A recent study shows that 80% of deer in Iowa have or had COVID.  It can't be transmitted from deer to human but definitely was transmitted from human to deer.  The concern is a possible reservoir of infection if the virus mutates to become communicable from deer to human. All it takes is a mutation, which is how viruses continue to exist and have for billions of years.

All that shit that was slung at the Chinese for wet markets and them eating crazy foods, wouldn't that be a kick in the head that every time you go hunting you could be starting an outbreak?

What's the easiest solution?  Kill all the deer?  Vaccinate all the deer?  How about getting vaccinated yourself?

Beyond the loss of human lives to the virus, this should be a major concern. Every time the virus replicates there is a chance of an error (mutation).  Most lead no where, but on occasion the mutation is successful. The more virus that is around, the more replication and mutation that takes place. With literally billions and billions of replications daily, one would be naive to think that given the number of 'experiments' the virus is undertaking, there won't be one that won't undo the vaccines we now have. You think it was bad last year?  If we don't get this thing under control, it's going to get worse.

Deal with reality: mandatory vaccines have been a part of this nation since the inception. The only reason this one is "different" is because your god emperor and his minions said you question it.

Doctor Fauci has spent his life studying this, as have others, and through multiple administrations.  They have built large consensus  pools of information and continually gather new information and put it against what they already have. Yet somehow you putzes think they're they're the grand conspirators with a nefarious plot to take over the country. Instead you glom on to other half-wit randos uploading crap to YouTube and fringe whackos discredited in their own field constantly.

The issue is you're gullible and the conspiracy peddlers are playing on that to gain entertainment dollars and so the folks that set them up can rob you blind while you blame struggling people with no actual power for what's wrong in your life.

Face it: You're not special, you're not somehow "in the know",  you're just another of seven+ billion meat sacks wandering the planet and you're choosing to believe charlatans and morons rather than the folks who are actually working to be the solution and trying to actually be useful to society.

Tyrant

After weeks of indecision, Washington issued the order to have all troops inoculated on February 5, 1777, in a letter to President John Hancock. The next day, a second letter was sent to Dr. William Shippen, Jr. that ordered all recruits arriving in Philadelphia to be inoculated:

Finding the Small pox to be spreading much and fearing that no precaution can prevent it from running through the whole of our Army, I have determined that the troops shall be inoculated. This Expedient may be attended with some inconveniences and some disadvantages, but yet I trust in its consequences will have the most happy effects. Necessity not only authorizes but seems to require the measure, for should the disorder infect the Army in the natural way and rage with its usual virulence we should have more to dread from it than from the Sword of the Enemy.

Scientific conferences (mostly by Zoom right now) are still this way.

Despite being very cautious, my wife and two daughters got C19 a year ago and due to close contact I ended up having to quarantine for almost a month.  Somehow I avoided it and never developed symptoms yet had to be kept out of work because there was no vaccine at the time.  If there was, I could have gone back a lot sooner and who knows maybe my older daughter wouldn’t have ended up so sick and gotten post COVID19 asthma.

I’m 49 and as a parent it’s amazing to me how politics turned simple shit like public health topics into an issue that divides us.  My generation (now parents) grew up with vaxx requirements.  You couldn’t attend grade school or HS or college without showing proof.  Where was the outrage 20 years ago?  30 years ago?  Now some of these same people are dead set against them.  All because some failed businessman turned politician brainwashed them into believing (or not) that C19 was fake or not dangerous and then spun the message into an us v them proposition.  Well played.

Somehow I hope we can all get past this but clearly Rodgers has formed his own cult and they are drinking some of the same Kool Aid.  Making matters worse, he tries to push some false equivalency that standing up for your right to vaxx is somehow similar to MLK and the civil rights movement.  I mean, Josh Hawley would be proud.

Smartest guy in the room my ass.

If all it takes to stay Covid free is taking precautions why the fuck are you worried about other people’s vaccinated status?

Mutations. The more a virus spreads through a population, the more opportunity it has to develop variants which can include vaccine resistance, increased transmission, and increased severity, all of which are very bad.  We need to prevent these variants.  The best way to do this?  Increase vaccination rates.
