The Packers FO is as incompetent as can be.  " we want to be in on every conversation" with regards to free agency. Yeah, sure okay Gutey. And now you wonder why you have this situation?? Look no further than your lack of FA involvement...and spare me the "Zadarius, Turner, Amos etc" Bs. You had a disgruntled QB as soon as the season ended, that was obvious, so what did you do in FA?? *crickets* No Gutey you fucking moron...re signing your own guys doesn't count as being active in FA.

Doood.....Stop while you're WAY behind. Aaron Jones absolutely COUNTS. Gimme a freaking break.

Smoke a J & watch the draft....Good lord.

GD, I am trying hard not to be a troll with a ridiculous take. But IF it’s really true of what has been reported, I brainstormed a possible solution. 1. The team trades Love. 2. The team extends Rodgers to a record breaking contract. 3. Moves up in the draft to select a WR. I don’t expect the current FO doing all three but perhaps try doing some of that. In any case, it sucks.

My favorite move would be if GB traded him to SF, grabbed Kyle Pitts, and then took Elijah Moore at 29. Everyone complaining for years about not giving him 1st round targets and the moment he’s gone they draft two! 🤣🤣

My fav would be if GB traded him to SF, and then Rodgers walks into the SF's owners office and says "You should have picked me first overall in 2005" and then retires.

The ultimate grudge.

This is the moment where the trolls will start coming out with ridiculous takes. I recommend everyone ignore takes that are so hilariously ridiculous.

I wondered if maybe it was subtle sarcasm.  After all, nobody could be that stupid.  Except maybe Vikings fans.

PP everyone knows you’re not trolling. You’re all good brother, I think everyone knows you know your shit!

I don’t know what to make of all this media drama, but the reality is that it either ends in 3 ways for 2021: they sign Rodgers to a massive extension commensurate with his skill, he plays under his current contract, or he sits out the whole year and GB goes after big money from him for breach of contract. Either way GB is playing this right from a business standpoint. If they don’t stroke his ego right, that’s an issue, but they’re handling the business side right.

If, big if...rodgers is traded...does this put him in the douche-baggery territory of favre's exit?  Leaving would confirm all the characterizations of him being a petulant, overly sensitive prima donna.  I always assumed these takes were overblown, but it would explain his estrangement from his family.  Also, I'll give favre more of a pass given his good ol boy proclivities.  To me, this would be worse than Favre leaving especially since he was on the receiving end of Favre's bitterness.  I say good riddance as long as we see a good haul and will welcome the Love era.

Latest rumor… Apparently Mark Schlareth is saying on the fan in Denver that a deal to send him to the donkeys is “as close to being done as possible”…. No word on what the return to GB would be so…

Uhhhh No it doesn't count...unless you pay ZERO attention to the goings on in the off season, you do realize that MANY MANY teams re sign their own guys AND still spend big in FA, right?? Like, there's no rule against it. Yet, the Packers sure act like there is.

Let's see...the Bucs gave Tom Brady "all in years" for however long he is there...year 1, what happened?? They only came into GB and knocked off the Packers who have adamantly refused to give a 3 time MVP even one "all in" year, let alone multiple. They then went on to win the Super Bowl. This off season, they became the first team to retain all 22 starters..which makes them favorites to repeat...funny how that works isn't it??

So yeah, maybe their cap will be screwed in a few years after Brady leaves..think they care?? Not one damn bit..they already have 1 SB doing it this way, how many more will they win?? Maybe none, but even if they don't, they will tell you that 1 SB was absolutely worth it.

But why would the Packers ever be astute enough to do that for a 3x MVP? They always know better then everyone else. Gutey says he likes his team and they just simply need to play better when they get to that game. Sure dumb ass, but guess what, if you have a loaded roster, you can usually get away with not having to play as well...and still win the game..huh, who knew??

Unless the rumors of FO dumbfuckery are true.  I'm starting to think anything is possible at this point.

That would be pretty fucking funny.

I'm at the point where I hope they trade the soon-to-be 38 year old QB if they can get a good deal for him.  I gave up hero worship with Favre and have no interest in the drama to come if this dude remains on the roster.  If Rodgers doesn't want to be in GB (Reported rumors only), peace brother and thanks for your time.

If it's actually Denver, get this year's #9, #40 and next years #1 and #2 and I'd do it and take the one year sacrifice.

Hell, maybe even next years 1 and 3 would cut it?  But I'd HAVE to get both 9 and 40 this year.  They could go 14-2 and make next years #1 not very valuable.

It certainly would be a crazy whack on the  Rodgers legacy, but.... Favre made noise about retiring for years and years  before Thompson drafted a QB in the first round---turned out to be a pretty good choice---and then 4 was wildly butt hurt about it...and once in New York, Brett Favre contacted Packer opponents, including the Lions and offered 'insider' assistance to beat the Pack..To me that was a big deal. You can hate Thompson and McCarthy, you can be the most competitive human alive,  but you're going to screw over your old teammates, friends and the Packer Faithful that treated you like a God? I have been surprised that this was not a bigger story when it broke and a serious issue every time his name is mentioned related to Green Bay---it should be a foot note on the 4 on the ring of honor.

Mike Klis is pretty reliable

Just a point of order and not at you.

The whole Rodgers thing is about winning a Super Bowl, not fawning over Rodgers.

Artis stated it perfectly.  I'll be a Packer fan long after Rodgers and Love are gone.  I'd just like to see the FO schmoes quit with this half in/half out approach.

If this is all true, well, I think they can write off talking about Super Bowls anytime in the near future.

Not the way a team leader acts- if he wants out so long.    Gb has been nothing but awesome to ar - if that’s the way it is - it’s unfortunate but get the most you can.  See if he can pick up anew offenders and take a new system and all that other crap that goes with it - we have catered our team to him - if he thinks we aren’t a good match together then see you bud.

@WerderEdESPN: I asked an #NFL GM how he would expect the #Packers to respond to Aaron Rodgers’ discontent: “They dig their feet in and make him play or be a game-show host.”

I think you could have said the same thing several years ago about the Thompson era..."I'd just like to see the FO schmoes quit with this half in/half out approach"  What a waste having a QB sit for three years instead of committing to Favre by giving him better weapons.  Love may indeed suck, but I do not think our current FO decision to draft Love was half in/half out.  It was an all in approach to the future which may cost them their jobs.

And Klis is as close to the team as it gets.  If he says talks aren't happening, it's coming straight from the team.  So it's either the truth, or talks broke down and the Broncos want to save face.  Or, could all be a curveball and the trade still happens.  So who knows!
