Sternberger won't get a 2nd contract from the Pack...on top of Tonyan playing really well, Josiah Deguara seems to be highly liked by the organization too.

I'm thinking that Sternberger  stays and  they release Big Dog Lewis, or that Lewis retires. Deguara has been on the field less than Sternberger has. Hard to evaluate Deguara based on one camp and a handful of plays he has participated in. Our TE room will have Tonyan, Sternberger, Deguara and Dafney as its main players.

Sternberger will likely finish out his contract in Green Bay. He hasn't been bad enough that he's getting cut. Koopla's point was that he's not getting a 2nd contract.

For the 2nd offseason in a row, he needs to work on his strength. If he's out there in 2021 getting pushed all over the field then he's looking for a new team when his contract expires.

Thought Gary had a really nice game.

He had a great game.  I cannot rave enough about him right now.  When he was in, that pocket collapsed.  The best defensive plays had him in the lineup.  The absolute best was Gary, Z, Kenny and P.  That should be a constant on passing downs.

The first 3 pages of this thread are excellent.

For myself I mentioned haven't heard this much whining since 95 draft & Vonnie Holliday being a good comparison.

Fast forward to December 2020 / January 2021 -- I was wrong....R. Gary is better than Vonnie.

Best post is the bust gif.

Yes.  This may be the one thing that does bother me a little.  Perry was solid when he wasn't being a puss.  I don't think Angry Bald Man is going to Wizard all over Gary though.  It's pretty clear a lot of pressure is going to be coming right up the gut with this defense, the Smithi and now Gary make it pretty clear.  Having a corp of guys that can bring it from multiple positions depending on down/distance should be pretty damn interesting.  I can see why they would also be looking for a pure FS like Savage and previously MLB's like Burks to absorb more of the coverage work.  I think OLBs will be more run/rush orientated than coverage but I guess we'll see.

I'm a god damn jeenyious!

Just ignore everything else I've said over the past two years.

Also, I'm bringing back Oackers.
