I'm thinking that Sternberger stays and they release Big Dog Lewis, or that Lewis retires. Deguara has been on the field less than Sternberger has. I agree that Dafney is winning a job. Not sure about Sternberger.
Sternberger will likely finish out his contract in Green Bay. He hasn't been bad enough that he's getting cut. Koopla's point was that he's not getting a 2nd contract.
For the 2nd offseason in a row, he needs to work on his strength. If he's out there in 2021 getting pushed all over the field then he's looking for a new team when his contract expires.
I hope Lewis plays another season. He's the ideal #2 TE for this offense.
IF we win the Super Bowl, Lewis may call it a career. I think that's why he's still playing.

I'm excited for Gary too, lately he's been proving himself on the field.
He had a great game. I cannot rave enough about him right now. When he was in, that pocket collapsed. The best defensive plays had him in the lineup. The absolute best was Gary, Z, Kenny and P. That should be a constant on passing downs.
Gary was in 24 snaps got 7 pressures.

Not just passing downs. He’s killing it in the run game too. Sets the edge and sheds.
Gary's emergence seems to have lifted Preston's level of play.
