Hey, 69.  It's Arod.

What up, Clusoe?

Listen.  Stupidface Gute won't do a trade with you this year.  But they'll cut you this offseason to save lettuce and Woody will pick you up in his jet the next morning.  Cool your tits and save your body for next year.  Currently working on Tae too.  Told him to get blasted in the head again so he could sit some games out.

Cool, cool.  Have fun in rehab.  Out.

Hey Bacne! did you hear about the aliens?

Yep. MLF is pretty pissy today and especially when talking about Bakh and the defense. 2 obvious sore subjects.

There is quite a bit of talk on radio here debating whether the team and Bakh are on the same page. I just get the feeling they were somewhat blindsided by his not playing Sunday. And I think MLF is having a hard time pretending they weren’t.

Well, given that Bak ran his mouth in the offseason about how the team was “rebuilding” and now what appears to be load management shenanigans I don’t blame MLF for being pissy.  It’s a distraction.

Bak and 12 have a lot more in common than we thought.  Extremely talented players that have little self awareness and aren’t hesitant to say what’s on their mind even if it’s to the detriment of team chemistry.

Too bad they couldn’t have dealt him to the Jets.

Bakh's situation is Bakh's fault.

The defensive problems are on MLF for not moving on from Barry. It was on tape in previous years that in certain offensive sets, Preston Smith would end up split wide on a WR/RB. It was same thing this year with D. Campbell on Robinson. Also, it's not like they got beat because Barry went zero coverage and blitzed the house against Ridder on 4th down and they got beat one on one. I wouldn't be irritated by that at all, since they wouldn't end up getting beat the same way as before (sit back in soft zone, play 10 yards off the LOS on 3rd or 4th and 3 and expect things to work out differently).

I don’t think they were blindsided. Week 1 Bakh isn’t on the injury report. Week 2 he’s designated as questionable. Reports before and after the ATL game that he had experienced knee soreness and/or swelling.

I think MLF is just tired of reporters trying to drill into this and possibly create controversy. It has been going on for nearly three years now.

I think the frustration comes from the fact that reality is setting in...this will be life with #69 from here on out. The knee will just flare up, no matter how much bubble wrap they put him in.

IMO, he will play here and there this season, but Rasheed Walker is going to get a lot of snaps this season. Depending how things go, LT may well be their first pick in 2024.

I subscribe to the theory that Bahk is not wanting to go on artificial turf and MLF is just now aware.      At this stage in his career, playing for a team that is rebuilding, I can't blame him.   That said, if I am future prospective employer, I'm taking notice.

It's a tough spot for him.  Add risk of jacking up the knee more or look like you are not all in.   The right thing to do is between him and his family, not him and the Packers.   If he is willing to leave  some money on the table in 2024 in order to increase the chances that he can play in 2024, then do that.   If he wants to add some risk in pursuit of maximizing career earnings, then do that.   Packers have no say, never have, in those choices.

I'll root for him whatever he does as long as he doesn't shit talk the org and hurt FA opps for us on the way out.

It's the reporters job to ask why your all-pro LT was sidelined unexpectedly.  MLF could have just easily said that he had knee swelling and they were taking precaution.  Just like Jones and his hammy. Instead MLF got pissy and said nothing.

He then got even more pissed the next day when they asked again.  After getting all huffy he finally let out there may have been some knee swelling but it simply doesn't make sense to me that if he was actually injured he wouldn't just come out and say that like he would any other player.

MLF doesn't have the greatest poker face and it certainly seems to me something about all this is bugging him and I have to imagine it's more than just reporters doing their jobs.

While Bakh is an incredible LT, he is the odd one out on this team. He's not fully bought into the team (he used the "rebuild" phrase again in an interview just this week). He's been hyper vocal about field turf. He's the oldest player on the team.  Who knows what is going on behind closed doors.

One other thing and Nixon has sucked as a cover guy.  Ford has been trash and Savage is Savage.

It’s amazing to me how good 23 and 29 are and how bad the rest of the DBs are.

23 was not so good yesterday. Passes thrown at him produced a perfect passer rating. 158.3. Ouch!!

The right thing for him to do is play.   He chose this profession, for better or worse.  I don’t need to hear about his views on turf; nor do I give a rats ass about his views on rebuilding.

Much like your precious little buddy in New Jersey the team made you one of the highest paid players at your position in the sport so at least make it look like you are all in.   The Packers didn’t sign up for load management.   If that’s how you feel then let’s figure out a way to make a trade.  You don’t want to be in GB so the FO can oblige.

Apparently Bakh told Wallace on Saturday night that he wasn't going to be able to go. Organization would be further ahead just putting everything out there.

Who is Wallace?

Maybe he's just the Kawhi Leonard of NFL players?

I think Bakh may have caught a Rodgers infection.

I thought the same thing the other day.  Not sure where I saw the video but a reporter asked Bakh what advice he would give young players.  He had this smug look on his face as if to say "how dare you ask me that" and just said something short like playing within themselves or some nonsense like that.

I have nothing to base my thought on why MLF is getting pissy when asked by reporters about Bakh but I think there is something going on behind the scenes and MLF has had enough of it but he is stuck with the situation.

2 things IMO tells you that The Packers were blindsided by his not playing.

1.) Schefter tweeted out, I believe on Friday night, that both Jones and Watson were ruled out and were not going to play. If the Packers knew Bakh wasn't playing, that would have been leaked as well. Or Schefter tweets some shit about the Packers not feeling good about Bakh not playing due to knee swelling. Instead, crickets regarding 69.

2.) MLF and Steno were playing musical chairs at LT with Walker and Nyman both taking reps. No way they do that if they knew Bakh wasn't likely to play. They would have game planned his being out and put in a planned LT (likely Walker) to replace Bakh.

This explains MLF being so pissed yesterday and not wanting to take anymore questions on 69. In retrospect, I think if they can go back to March 2023, they eat the salary, save 6 million in cap dollars and move on from him.

Hard to imagine they aren't looking to do that now...as soon as economically or competitively feasible.

But if I recall correctly, maybe I am rong, but the cap hit would have been something like $40 million.  With the hit they took trading Rodgers there just may not have had the cap room to do both.  They not have been able to even field a 53 man team.
