"But you could google NFL injury lists and see that many teams are worse off than the Packers."

That should be a weighted list.  Compare teams whose starting QB has missed games and add all the other "starters'" missed games.  AR will end up missing almost half the season, on top of all the games missed by JF, RC, CM, NP, BJ, CH, JJ, BB, MB, SR, JL, MN, DB, DH.  That's not even counting the fact that we're on the 4th string QB.

3TFO: Steelers @ Packers, Week 16

by Matt Claasson on 12-20-13

Rookie Running Backs

Lacy, the Packers’ first 1,000 yard rusher since 2009, is our third-ranked running back with a +16.1 overall grade this season. Lacy’s 55 missed tackles forced on rush attempts rank behind only Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson.

Although Lacy does not pose as much of a threat in the passing game as other running backs, he still ranks in the Top 10 of our Elusive Rating, which also encompasses receptions.

The Turnaround of Jason Worilds

At the start of the season, Jason Worilds was splitting time with rookie Jarvis Jones at the right outside linebacker position in Pittsburgh’s 3-4 defense.
Worilds had little impact early on, tallying six run stops and 17 total pressures over the first nine games, contributing to a -6.6 overall grade.
However, an injury to Lamaar Woodley forced Worilds to switch over to the left sideβ€”an opportunity in which he has flourished.
Since Week 11, he has earned five consecutive β€˜green’ grades for a +16.4 cumulative grade, along with 16 run stops and 31 total pressures.

Jordy Nelson Versus Ike Taylor

Nelson has a favorable matchup this week against Steelers’ cornerback Ike Taylor. Taylor’s -15.4 coverage grade ranks second-worst out of 109 cornerbacks.

He leads the league this season with 958 yards receiving yards allowed in coverage, which is on pace for the most since we started tracking in 2008. Opposing quarterbacks have a 114.8 QB Rating when throwing into Taylor’s coverage this year and have thrown for five touchdowns in the last five weeks.

Regardless of who plays quarterback for the Packers, expect Taylor to continue as one of the most targeted defensive backs in the league. continue

From

Remember the record-setting offense of the 2011 season? After 14 games, this year's Packers squad is only eight yards off that team's pace.

The Packers are one of only two teams that rank in the top 10 in both passing and rushing offense this season. (Eagles are the other.)

Eddie Lacy has rushed for 977 yards over the last 10 games, the most in the NFL over that span.

A.J. Hawk needs 5 tackles to move past Nick Barnett for 2nd on Packers all-time tackle list (since '75) and 11 more to pass #1 John Anderson

Lacy needs 78 rushing yds to set Packers record for most by a rookie in a season. Will it happen this wk? (Steelers allowing 116 yds per gm)

Jordy Nelson needs 93 more receiving yards to notch his second career 1,200-yard receiving season (1,263 in 2011).

All this with Rodgers missing half the games. Of course, they've lost most of those games too... except the last two.

So, they've been putting up a lot of yards even without Rodgers but not winning... until recently.

After struggling most of the season the Packers have posted eight takeaways in their last three games, third best in the NFL over that span.

Turnovers. Whodathunkit?
