Nice breakdown of all the fuck ups 12 had in the Whiners loss...

But this underscores the point some have been making with the departure of 17...12 doesn't have his security blanket any more, he is going to have to find the most open guy if this offense is going to be successful.

In 2021 12 had 570 targets, 169 went to 17 (29.6%)

Next closest guy guys were Jones (65) and Lazard (60)

Joe Burrow had 540 targets, his top 3 were Ja'Marr Chase (128), Tee Higgins (110) and Tyler Boyd (94)

Matt Stafford had 602 targets, Cooper Kupp (191), Van Jefferson (89), Tyler Higbee (85)...OBJ played 8 games and had 48, so if you spread that to 16 games he has 96...and that probably means Kupp and Jefferson lose a bit as well.

Bottom line is, the best offenses spread it around...something 12 hasn't done much the last 3 years. 2020 and 2019 were very similar on balls that went to 17 and then the next two less than half of that number.

It's not inconceivable that they could be a better offense. They will definitely take their lumps, but with all the moving parts in the system, the options for MLF will be plentiful. No doubt Davante's presence helped create mismatches elsewhere on the field, but. a healthy Tonyan will do similar, as will the versatility of Jones and Dillon building on last season. The scheme itself can cover the loss of the Adams advantage when it's run efficiently. Let the doubters doubt and add to that chip on Rodgers' shoulder. The great ones seek out reasons for motivation, and a league expecting GB to fall on its ass after losing 17 is pretty good incentive to prove them wrong. !995 Packers offense sans Sterling Sharpe was pretty damn good.
