Didn't a couple of players get hurt doing that?

Happened to the LB for the Lions (Tulloch?) years ago. Blew out his knee trying to stick the landing on a belt move after a sack. Then tried to claim he wasn't mocking Rodgers.

I think that was a "my Twitter account got hacked" move before that became the thing to do.

The only way you get anything for Love is if there is another team out there that saw the same things in him pre-draft as GB did.  Even if he gets some garbage time snaps, he won't be throwing much if at all and it won't be in "real game" situations where there is pressure to score or even pick up first downs.  Next real shot at improving his value will be 2021 PS.

Petey engages in some Packers ball-washing at a level usually reserved for the Pats and Tom Brady.

Not sure if Petey is losing it, or 12 was wrong about "since I've been here we;ve never had home field advantage,"

Uh...2011...15-1...

The KC guy is one helluva quarterback, but 12 is having a better year.  If 12 finishes out the season with similar play, not getting that 3rd MVP would be a garbage decision.

That is very true and I agree.  IMHO it should be a no brainer based upon who AR has to throw to vs. what Mahomes has to throw to.  I don't know when the votes have to be in for MVP but I guess it is supposed to be announced the day before the Super Bowl.

I know this is so premature but can you imagine the chip on AR's shoulder if he loses the MVP and will be playing KC in the Super Bowl?  I know that way ahead of things but fun to thing about.

I'd vote for Carnell Lake.

What about the chip on Pats shoulder if he loses the MVP to AR and faces him in the SB?

Just a guess, but the best thing that happened to AR recently was likely GB drafting Jordan Love.

It's was AR's "Hold my beer" moment and the results are clear.

I think that's just a nice story. I believe his play is more to do with being another year in this offense.

To enhance @H5 point.

Matt Ryan won the MVP in year 2 of this offense.

Rodgers threw a pass that wasn't perfect vs. the Lions & I think it was Lazard couldn't handle it. Rodgers was furious with himself for not throwing a better 🏈.

Just love to see him striving for perfection on every single throw.

I believe voting for all awards is at the end of the regular season and closes before playoffs begin.

Love The "Crown"

I took piano lessons growing up, and any time one of us students acted up, she'd say that she'd crown us, whatever that meant.

She also got her dander up when somebody said they were mad.  Dogs go mad; humans get angry.

I agree with you, but I also think Rodgers is doing everything he can to make it hard for GB to want to trade him.

It wasn't long ago people were saying he freelanced too much, held the ball too long, always looked for the big plays and didn't take what he was given, etc.  Some even wondered if he was falling off with his age (which seems ludicrous to say with his stats but it was said).

Last year we won because of Jones as much as because of AR.  Drafting Love makes sense if you're hedging your bets that an old QB is going to look older down the stretch.  It's an insurance policy, even if it was an expensive one.

But this year AR is like a completely different person.  He has a quick release, never holds the ball too long, always takes whatever the defense gives him.  Yes it's MLF's scheme but it's also AR buying into it.  He's not freelancing plays anymore.

He's also been doing more media than ever.  And not just McAfee's show.  His Packer pressers are much longer and more detailed than they ever have been.  He's been talking up his teammates a ton. The perception of him in public has gone from "he's arrogant and not a leader" to "he's the coolest dude in the league".

Given how brainy AR is, always thinking 3 moves ahead, I think he's both trying to make it very hard for GB to move on from him and also telling every other team "I'm a team player and the best in this game both on and off the field".
