Viking fans bitching about the Packers getting flexed to Sunday night. Saying it's unfair that the Lions will know if Seattle won before the game starts and the NFL wants it easier on the Packers.

vikings fans bitching! There's something new! I didn't hear them bitch when they got their schedule set to play the Packers in game one of the season, because they felt they had an advantage, in playing the Packers early. Also, this new whine pairs nicely with the fact that they were saying they did not need to win last Sunday's game versus the Packers, anyway, as they had the division sewed up. Nor do they mention they could have eliminated the Packers from the playoffs if they would have lost to the Giants, a few weeks ago.  Afraid of choking, they are! Afraid of meeting us again, in the playoffs, too!

Scheming against the Vikings offense is pretty simple. If you stop Jefferson, their production goes down pretty severely.

The Vikings lost 4 games. In one of them (Vs. the Lions) Jefferson went for 11 catches and 223 yards. That's the outlier.

The other three were

vs. Eagles, Jefferson had 6 catches for 48 yards

vs. Cowboys, Jefferson had 3 catches for 33 yards

vs. Packers, he had 1 catch for 15 yards

He had a couple of other down games in some close Vikings' wins (vs. the Lions during the Lions 1-6 start) and vs. Sauce Gardner and the Jets, but if you contain him the Vikings are much more beatable. Jefferson is a great receiver, but Jaire showed he can be slowed at the snap by jamming him (in other words, he's not Davante Adams level).

The Giants will certainly put a guy on him and jam him at the line if possible.

Of course, the next time we play the Vikings we will still have Joe Barry as our DC, and he'll probably go back to playing soft zone across the board.
