Turned on the TV to see which game was playing on the CBS affiliate, out of Minnesota, at Noon. Of the 5 scheduled games CBS has listed for today,  no games will be shown on CBS, in the Twin Cities, at Noon. There is an infomercial being shown on the CBS affiliate in Minneapolis. The only game shown in my area will be the vikings game, on Fox, at Noon. Love that local control rule and that the vikings, et. al., seem to be needing only their game, to be shown in the Noon - 3:25 time slot, in their viewing area.  Pathetic! So, no vikings game for me. GO CAROLINA!

He got fined for this?!?!?

Will they fine Jaire for mimicking Jefferson's celebratory dances, when the Packers defeat the vikings this season? Even though Jefferson is a viking, that penalty was uncalled for.

He can do the celebration, but he can't do it at or directly to a player. That's how Jaire got away with doing the griddy last year; he had his back to Jefferson.

I think if the refs had penalized Jefferson, he would not have gotten the fine.

Since Jefferson was put on IR, he won't be doing the griddy, or anything else, for at least four games.

Skol?

Once again, there is an infomercial on the CBS affiliate, out of the Twin Cities, at Noon, today. Seems like the vikings do not want football fans watching anything other than the Vikings vs da Bears game. They used to only block other NFC North game broadcasts. Now, it seems every game that is on when the vikings are on, is fair game. Pathetic losers! So no Commanders vs Falcon game, in the Twin Cities metro area, today.  I will not watch the vikings-bears game. skol!

FWIW - Chicago, San Fran, and Cleveland also only get the early game for their respective cities. I think it has a lot less to do with the Vikes and more to do with the NFL and Networks.

The vikings-Bears game was on the Fox affiliate, at Noon. The Commanders-Falcons game was on CBS, and also at Noon. This is not an early game versus a late game thing. This is the Twin Cities TV stations doing what they want, per the NFL's regional broadcast rules. The Commanders-Falcons game is, in no way, a regional game. This is not the first time the CBS affiliate, in the Twin Cities, bought the rights to a football game, when the vikings were also on, and aired infomercials for three hours.

So someone (Fox, NFL?, Some Billionaire?!?) Is paying the CBS affiliate to NOT air a 2nd game?? Otherwise Vikings game might lose viewership?!

That is my guess, Boris. In the 90's, when the vikings' home games were blacked out because they could not sell out the Metrodome, ever, unless they were playing the Packers, companies like 3M and Pillsbury came in to buy up the unsold seats, just so the viking game could be aired. Then, they forced the visiting Packers fans to buy tickets to the vikings' next home game, as well. Once, more recently, I called the cable company in Mpls, to ask why the Packers were not being aired at Noon on CBS when the vikings were on at Noon, on Fox. They told me the CBS affiliate bought the rights to the Packer game's air time, so they cold show infomercials for three hours. The cable company's own TV schedule/guide had the Packers game shown as being aired. That was before the NFL's local control/ cable exclusivity rules came into play.

I have a hard time believing Jamo looks that intelligent

Jaymo got perma banned in Rube Shat. There was a classic thread in their political section that is celebrated annually that brings his intelligence (stupidity) to the forefront!

Vikings offensive coordinator arrested on suspicion of drunken driving (msn.com)

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after being stopped for speeding on a Minneapolis interstate highway.

Phillips, 44, was driving a Tesla Model S that was stopped around 9:45 p.m. Friday on Interstate 394, Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Jill Frankfurth said in a statement. Phillips “showed signs of impairment” and his blood alcohol content registered at 0.10%, Frankfurth said. The legal limit in Minnesota is 0.08%

The one and only time I got pulled over was about 5 years ago in Milwaukee after a Brewer game. I was in a rental and I didn’t realize the headlights didn’t come on automatically. Cops stopped me for that. After all the field tests they had me blow ( low-hanging softball for a joke) and I blew .04. Was actually kind of pissed that I could have had a couple more drinks at the game. 😀

So how does that work? Clearly UNDER the legal limit but can you still get a ticket for driving "impaired"??

Maybe someone that knows a Sconnie cop can answer 🙂
