I think it will be fascinating to see if the Packers draft a QB at end of round 1 (5th year option). Assuming a good one is available.

TT drafted Rodgers during the year Favre turned 36.

I'll be there in Vegas to watch it happen live.

Tua may get medically flagged by many teams before the draft. If he's there at 28 or so, I'd take him. He'd probably sit out the entire 2020 season and then serve as a backup in 2021. Then make a decision on how to proceed in 2022. Rodgers contract basically runs until 2022 (he only counts 2 million in dead cap in 2023).

He officially declared for the draft today and Kiper Jr has him rated as the 24th best draft prospect overall.

Heโ€™s good.  Very good.  Maybe not as good as Travis Frederick but he would be an instant (and much younger and cheaper) upgrade at center.

Biadasz would be a good pick. We X4 fans would have to eat a little crow after all the grief we gave Spielman for drafting a Center with their first pick(Garrett Bradbury). I'd do it, though, as I've heard crow tastes like chicken. Some other guys I like at Center, who will most likely fall later in the draft, are Cesar Ruiz of Michigan, Jack Hanson of Oregon, Darryl Williams of Mississippi State and Zach Shackleford of Texas. Ruiz and Williams can play Center or OG. The versatility there is appealing. I'd tend to want either Ruiz or Williams as a pick over Biadasz because we have Lucas Patrick as Linsley's back up, now, and he isn't too shabby. Also because we can draft some needed talent at ILB or WR with that 1st Round pick and grab a Center, a bit later. Ruiz or Williams would be able to take over for Billy Turner in a pinch, as well as for either Patrick or Linsley, at Center. It is time we addressed our O Line and depth there, for the long term. I'm hoping to see RG and RT, as well as Center, addressed sometime in this draft or in FA.

Adding Biadasz would give them a lot of options on the OL.  They could slide out Turner to RT and play Patrick at guard and free up close to 15MM by letting Linsley go and not resigning Bulaga.

We need to keep that in mind given Kenny Clark status that someone has to go and I would be shocked if it wasnโ€™t Linsley and Jimmy Graham.  Bulaga is nails but we are playing with house money given his injury history

There will always be non-RD1 QB's that find success in the league, even elite status.  Much harder to find on draft day but they'll be out there.

Don't forget the versatility Jenkins gives us if they find another hat to play his spot.  He played C in college and may be better there than he even was at G this year.  Cole Madison seems to be hanging on by a thread but he's is hanging around.  Can't count on anything from him in early 2020 but there may still be a chance.

There are realistically 7-8 teams in the top 20 picks that could take a QB

The Bengals, Dolphins, Chargers, Panthers, Jaguars, Raiders, Colts, and Bucs are all possibilities.  The Patriots and Titans could be as well depending on what happens with Brady and Tannehill.

Tua is likely to be the 2nd or 3rd QB taken regardless of his medical condition.

It depends on how many of those teams can let him sit for as long as two years before they get any return from him. If you are a GM or a coach on the hot seat, you don't want that.

Not a big fan. He has played with elite talent all around him.

You don't draft a potential franchise QB when you need one.  You draft one to groom for when the time comes.... exactly how TT took AR to learn behind Brent.

Given AR's age, not to mention his decline in performance, I'd be on board with taking a QB high in this year's draft.  If not this year, you damn near HAVE to do it the following year.
