Re: Are you "feeling it" NOW? +/- Seahawks WIN!
Along DocBenni's post. After the Titans loss I had just about given up on the season and said Mike deserved another year provided he cleaned house with his staff (with exception of Whitt) I still want Moss and Clements gone. I think Dom retires after this year. Yesterday doesn't change how bad the team was for a full calendar year. The Colts, Titans, Washington losses are damn near unexplainable after yesterday. Something changed with this team during that stretch though. It's not like GB...

It was like saying Dante Culpepper was magic when he was lobbing it to Randy Moss in double coverage.

Re: Why We Won/Why the Vikings can still go ****.q themselves
Right now. Thousands and thousands of Minny parents are realizing those Bradford, AP, and Patterson Christmas jerseys are going to suffer the same fate as their Favre, Hovan, and Moss jerseys. Collecting dust with their parents Tarkenton, Krause, And Foreman jerseys. And several more thousand kids in Minny will open those gifts tomorrow morning and quietly wish they were born in Wisconsin.

Re: It’s Vikings Week
I'd like their RB - Maybe one of their safeties & definitely their LB'ers. Use their DL for rotational & keep Packers DL fresh I'd rate Packer LB'ers at #32 Don't think they're "better" in any other area. Rodgers would turn Diggs & Thielen into Moss & Edelman

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
But Herbert has some warts as well. That’s my point. Had he been there at 26 I would have pulled the trigger to draft him as well. But is he a slam dunk at 6? I guess if you are the Chargers that desperately need a QB. It’s so much better to not have to take a guy based on pure need because you can talk yourself into just about everything. Kind of like Ron Wolf taking 3 corners in a row to counter Moss. The best player of the group was Mike McKenzie in the 3rd round.

Re: 2020 NFL Draft Viewing Thread DAY 2/Day 3
Ron Wolf did it with CBs the year after Randy Moss was a rookie. TT did it with CBs year and after year.

Re: 2019 Free Agency Moves/Trades/Releases
There's been a repeated story about Perry and his practice habits under MM and Moss. Apparently, well, there wasn't much of them. Story goes Perry was lazy as fu** during closed practices and barely did anything. MM would coddle him using Perry's latest umpteenth injury as an excuse and Moss turned the other way and didn't give a shit. It rubbed a lot of other guys the wrong way who actually, you know, practiced and practiced hard yet weren't getting playing time. Seems like we're hearing...

Re: 2019 Free Agency Moves/Trades/Releases
Wow! I am kind of scratching my head as to why you coddle someone who is constantly hurt and never sees the field. I was strongly on the keep MM camp but the more I hear and read I was totally wrong. As for Perry's cap hit I could be wrong (and please correct me if I am) but wouldn't the dead money hit be over 10M? I would like to see the guy gone but can they afford to do that?

Re: End of Season +/-
You mean like Rashaan Gary, when they already signed not 1 but TWO FA's for the position. That's just one example. Hell look at the Vikings when they took Randy Moss in round 1 & didn't need a WR. Not ALL ignore it.

Re: End of Season +/-
The Packers ignored it when they passed on Moss. And a bit too early to say one way or another about Gary.

Re: End of Season +/-
Packers didn't ignore it when they passed on Moss. Wolf said they had Holliday rated higher as a football player. That thought was correct because while I know Moss is in the HoF, remember the "I play when I wanna play" mantra? When he was on the Raiders? They were rightly concerned about the guys heart even though ooodles of "talant."

Re: End of Season +/-
Saying, today, that taking Vonnie Holliday instead of Randy Moss was correct is pants on head crazy.

Re: End of Season +/-
They needed weapons for Favre, which Wolf admitted to later. There is no way Holliday was the BPA*, they passed on Moss because of stuff. *Which is how this got started by you.

Re: End of Season +/-
That's not what I posted. At the time, during the draft....Holliday was the football player. Moss who obviously had ooodles of talent & potentially no heart was the wrong pick. Now hindsight being 20/20 & all... Yeah you pick Moss easily. But guess what.... newsflash, you don't get hindsight during the draft. Back to the discussion.....not necessary to draft AR's replacement this year. Nice to have? Sure but at some point in the next 3 years expect it to happen. Unless they mortgage...

Re: End of Season +/-
SATORI, you may be right, but that's not how I remember it. Wolf went for need, wanting to replace Reggie White, so he reached for Holliday. Wolf often did that. He did t when he reached for Bubba Franks in reaction to the hot-tub incident with Chmura. He did it when he reached for DB Antuan Edwards in reaction to Vikings drafting Moss the year before. Truth be told, Wolf most often went for need and had a horrible record in the first round. What distinguished him was signing Reggie White,...

Luke Keuchly doesn't allow those kinds of passes, why is it so hard for GB to find an ILB? Winston Moss and whoever the assistant LB coach is need to be given their walking papers,

Re: Axing Dom ...
I'm sure a lot of posters here will scream at me for this comment, but would it really hurt to fire a 65 year old toupee-wearing white guy who coaches a defense featuring 10 black starters, many of whom are roughly 1/3rd his age (and all but one are less than 1/2 his age)? Maybe players will relate better to a guy like Darren Perry or Winston Moss. We're always hearing about these damn "communication issues" they're endlessly having. Why not just take a chance with a guy who may be able to...

Re: Positives/Negatives - Lions Game
I do think the coaches and Rodgers have to take out that section of the playbook that treats Davante Adams as if he's a young Randy Moss. Doesn't seem like 12 and 17 are in the same page that much on the Jordy back shoulder, either. Rodgers' and Adams on-field hissy fits over officiating is a bad look too. Gee, Raiders just took the lead over Minnesota. Lotta season left.
