Re: Are you "feeling it" NOW? +/- Seahawks WIN!
+++ A great team win. Glad to finally see it, and makes me think that MM hasn't lost his touch yet. It appears he's reined in AR, who's back to playing like Superman. Michael adds a new dimension to the backfield. Jordy back to Jordy, while Adams is still on a roll. Lowry, Ringo, Clark, young DL will be a plus for several years. --- Injuries. AR's is most worrisome. +-+-+- This team has discovered itself. I only hope it's not too late...

So, K.C. doesn't have a prayer vs. Pitt in K.C.? K.C. is good in all 3 phases. Tyreek Hill could change the game in favor of K.C. vs. Pittsburgh. I think in the playoffs we forget about the teams on a bye. K.C. ain't going to roll over for the Steelers. It just sucks that the Pats have a cakewalk into the AFC CG. If the Steelers do get by K.C., I agree it will be a great game vs. the Pats because I think K.C. would get steamrolled by the Pats. I'm hopeful we get to see it

Re: Let's Talk Cowboys (Divisional Playoff Game 1/15/17)
I know that this is a much different team, but this game has the same feeling as the divisional game against Atlanta during SB run in 2010/11. We're not bringing another stout defense to the table, but the offense is on a roll that surpasses anything we saw in 2010.

Howard "Smiley" Johnson Only Packer WWII casualty of war. From Packers.com: The roll call needs to start with Howard "Smiley" Johnson, the Packers' only war casualty. Recipient of two Silver Stars, Johnson was killed in action at Iwo Jima. He played guard for the Packers in 1940 and '41, and was a second lieutenant with the 23rd Marines when he died at age 28. Johnson grew up in an orphanage near Clarksville, Tenn., and played college football at the University of Georgia. With the Packers,...

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
As entertaining as it is to watch Henry try to cure his boredom, it’s truly eye roll worthy reading the wanna be scouting reports. I can say “I think his mechanic look good” and Henry can say “how is he in his progressions” but it’s all bullshit. Read Rodgers’ pre draft scouting report. Read Mahomes’. Read Brady’s. Scouts see what they want to see. They get their opinions in print, and then we read them and then we’re talking about “progressions”. Lafleur is into him, convinced Gutekunst to...

Re: MNF - Dec 2 - Ol' One Eye versus The Hyper Gum Chomper
Don't forget ... Gophers BBall lost at home to DePaul on Saturday to fall to 3-4. Gophers Hockey swept by UND and that team is washed. Timberpups lost at home to the woeful Grizz without half their players. But hey the Wild on a roll to get to .500 and ruin their chance to pick a game changer in next year's NHL draft. Loserville USA on full display.

Re: Positive Pollies/Negative Nancies Packers vs Bears
Positive Polly 11 - 3 and haven't really played like it lately Tyler Ervin has a home in GB Clark and D-Line did a real good job 2010 Packers went 2-2 in December and got shutdown 10-3 in their final home game by the Bears. I think the Packers are one dominating win away from going "on a roll" deep into the playoffs. Negative Nancy Struggling offense is due to...? Inconsistent play-calling, sub-par personnel (ie., WRs and TEs), Rodgers not yet comfortable. MVS - that drop was inexcusable.

Re: Positive Pollies/Negative Nancies Packers vs Bears
Did anyone else feel like Charles Davis and the other guy were almost more excited to watch Chicago than GB? It seemed like every time Chicago did something well or almost well (not often) they spoke louder and had more material and every time something went well for GB is more muted. I like Charles Davis normally, but it seemed like the expectation from FOX was that Chicago was going to roll through this game to advance the Cinderella story comeback Bears narrative...wah wah wah. It's not...

Re: Positive Pollies/Negative Nancies Packers vs Bears
I think these guys look for just about anything that they can try to squeeze some drama or emotion out of. A good comeback story, darkhorse victory, or cinderella narrative is just what they're looking for. Have you heard the coverage of the Buffalo win yesterday? I'm not sure if they're told to do it by the network or if it's just the nature of the job. It does get sickening and I always need to remind myself just what's going on. I usually turn down the audio at that point.

Re: Positive Pollies/Negative Nancies Packers vs Bears
I'd much rather have the radio call piped in than the network clowns. Even opposing team's radio is good when they give insight on both teams. It's interesting to hear what the rival's broadcast team knows about GB. That said, they are selling a product. They're being paid to hype the game and teams and players. Long ago I couldn't stand listening to Summerall do a Packers game because he seemed so biased and only grudgingly gave my team credit. Everything was about DALLAS. Now I listen to...

Re: It's Chargers Week
Like the speed limit, a "stop" sign is only a suggestion. When I was growing up many moons ago, we lived very close to a street corner. The north/south cars had no stop sign. The east/west cars had a stop sign but rarely obeyed it. Making the situation more dangerous is that the 25 mph residential speed limit wasn't obeyed by cars going in either direction. I can remember 4 very serious accidents that occurred in that intersection. Serious as in people were hauled off to the hospital...

Re: It's Chargers Week
So call me out for rolling thru a stop sign at 3 MPH at 1:30 in the A.M. when you can clearly see no cars are coming and yet in another post you admit to speeding because everyone else is and I'm the asshole? Pot meet kettle!!!

Re: Bucks vs Knicks
A good way to start December. You can’t play much better than they played the last 2 games though the competition certainly didn’t bring their A games in either case. At this point, I think the chemistry and level of play is approaching last year’s level which is no small feat. The 2 weaknesses that will need to get better once playoffs roll around, closing out on defensive 3 pointers and Giannis shaky FTs.

Saw some good comments by Badger beat writers on Twitter on why Potter wasn't in at the end. Mainly him getting beat on defense and having two bigs would not have been a good idea with Maryland's pick and roll game.

49ers are a lot better. A potential off two ass whoopings in a roll will prove that.

Not going to disagree with the disaster of a game plan, but let's be honest. You have as LB's Martinez, Goodson, and whatever undersized safety they roll in. There is zero speed or impact in that group, nobody who can make a play sideline to sideline.

Billly B has the ability to gamble on potential greatness because the rest of the AFC sucks raw unwiped ass. You can roll the dice and lose bad if you're NE and it won't mean a damn thing. Drop the Packers in the AFC North and let's see if Billy's unfettered run to the AFC Championship game year after year continues.

This unit is shaping up a lot like the 2012 defense. They had a lot of good stretches where they played well, well enough to fool me into believing they had put 2011 behind them. There were bad signs along the way, but they played well enough to make a lot of us believe they could win a title. We were all talking Super Bowl after that 55-7 thrashing of the Titans in week 16. Then Peterson rolled up a ton of yards again in week 17, and they pissed away a bye against a garbage Vikings team.

Re: Packers should try to acquire Vernon Davis
Starks didn't get his first carry until December. The team languished with Kuhn masquerading as a RB for a major chunk of the season. Yes, it all worked out in the end but that position was woefully undermanned the majority of the season. The question is can he improve the club and what is the cost? I would give up a fourth or fifth for him and roll the dice. So called 'turds' have a tendency to become team guys when a ring becomes a possibility.

Re: Rockin/Suckin' Chargerbots (+/-)
Here is what I think, not that it matters... Lacy needs to be running out of an I formation or at least a single back formation where he is BEHIND the QB. He is not the type of runner who can take the ball from beside the QB out of the shotgun and be effective. He needs to get going north and south so he can build up some steam, find his hole, and cut. And for all the talk of our interior Oline, they really have not been that great at run blocking this year. No matter who is running the...
