Let's not forget that Joe Thomas is sitting on Green Bay's practice squad. An ILB that has a whiff of interesting. He's going to get every opportunity to show he belongs.
I like Spikes, but he needs a guy who can cover next to him.
Would a change of scenery help a guy like Maualuga?

Hope he can provide something. But I'd be very skeptical of any improvement if they go into training camp counting on Barrington, Lattimore, Joe Thomas, that CFL guy, and a bunch of rookies to fill 2 ILB spots. It's one thing to line up a rookie next to Burnett, a veteran, to fix the safety position. Completely different when you expect a bunch of unprovens to fill two ILB spots.
I really think a veteran is not just necessary, but mandatory. You can't have an entire position group full of guys with less than a year of regular playing time at ILB. Not sayign you need to sign a guy to 5 year deal worth $30m. Even signing a guy like Briggs for a year or two. Just a stop-gap that knows how to play LB in the NFL. Really hope TT sees it the same.

A vet sure makes a lot of sense, but AJ doesn't think Briggs is a good idea....
you did real well there except for this "Even signing a guy like Briggs for a year or two."
I think Briggs is a damn good player. Not sure what else he has left but we did ok with another ex-Bear at linebacker....
Briggs has already said publicly he'd never sign with the Packers.
Michael Wilhoite and Chris Borland seemed to figure things out pretty fast next to each other without much experience between them. Probably because they don't suck. And not sucking is pretty damn important in the grand scheme of playing ILB.
Haha well then.....I just used Briggs as an example since i know more about him than any other player on that list. Not saying he should be signed, just that a stop-gap veteran would work.
New (proven) OL assistant. Linsley a full camp between Sitton and Lang. Lacy...
Giddyup.
As opposed to Hawk and Jones, who just whiff.quote:An ILB that has a whiff of interesting.

If they add a guy like Spikes or Maualuga, adding another ILB that can run(cover) is absolutely imperative. Imagine Spikes and Kendrick's inside....dream from heaven. Heck Barrington and Kendrick's would be orgasmic.
@RapSheet: #AZCardinals released Darnell Dockett, who was due $6.8M in 2015 coming off an ACL. Now he can test his market value, could be back in AZ.
@AlbertBreer: Darnell Dockett (34 in May) was due $6.8 million in the last year of his deal. Cardinals will carry $3 million in dead money.
I expect Derrick Sherrod to unseat Buck Cherry this year at LT
He's a Chief now Chief

A slow fat ILB is not what they need.
Josh McCown is a Cleveland Brown.
The veteran quarterback and the Browns have agreed on a contract today, the team and McCownâs agent Mike McCartney both confirmed on Twitter.
McCown was released this month after a rough first year in Tampa Bay. He previously had a very promising showing during the 2013 season while filling in for Jay Cutler in Chicago. Cleveland has to hope itâs getting the Chicago version of McCown, and not the Tampa Bay version of McCown.
Is Peter King relevant anymore? I swear he writes like he has dementia.
It's hard to write when Rog's balls are bouncing on your face.
I knew that article was going to go over like a lead balloon.
Can't stop laughing at the last 2 posts
It must be so much fun to come up with a scenario, find "facts" to support that theory, write an article about it, and get paid for it! Talk about a sweet gig...
Not just limited to King either; it pretty much seems to be the favored method of all sports 'journalists'. Either that, or all journalism is taught at the National Enquirer.
