I still think Bulaga is more important than Cobb too.  This was the best OL in years, don't eff with it.

At CB, do you sign Tramon, House, or neither and sign someone like Tillman from Chicago?  Or Bush.  ;-)

Getting a deal worked out with Peppers sooner rather than later will help with all these signings, you'd like to have that done before UFA starts to have the most flexibility.

Dorsey and Bostick official cuts now, announced by team.

@TyDunne: Packers announce they have released TE Brandon Bostick and WR Kevin Dorsey. Dorsey ended season on injured reserve.

An old, washed up and injured CB?

Is that much different than Tramon?  And House isn't washed up but is often injured.  If they let Tramon go Tillman seems like a good vet to have providing some leadership in the DBs.  Not a guy you expect to play every down.

Why does it feel like the off-season is over?

For the third time, I'm not expecting him to come in and put up Cobb's numbers in his first year playing.   With a MVP QB, a top tier pass protecting Oline coming off a full season together, an improved run game w/ the 49r coach and veteran Lacy...top tier talent at WR isn't a necessity.

I don't think TT pays him 9 mill a season.  If he does, I won't be upset, just surprised.

It's not about numbers, even learning the the basics of the position to the point where you can have an impact takes time. Slot receiver is a difficult position and it requires a tremendous amount of timing with the QB, timing Jared doesn't have with Rodgers. That's not to say he won't ever, but right now there's no way it's smart to count on him being any kind of productive player. Cobb will get a fair deal, it may be a big deal, but it will be fair.

You're reading far too much into Cobb's perceived "bitterness". I believe your opinion is dramatically inaccurate.

If you're that bored, look into the combine & tell us about some players coming out in the draft. I, for one, would be much more interested.

This is archetypal madness:

@MikeGarafolo: Former Packers TE Brandon Bostick to sign with the Vikings, per agent @blakebaratz

@Bostick11: Boom! We Got Action!

I'm glad I get to really hate his ass now.  Hopefully they put him on the KO return team - at least until he gets hurt about 10 plays into the season.

Best ever was the Grave Digger.

heard this on the radio on the way home and damn near drove off the road laughing...  well, the blistering wind out of the north may have played a little role in missing the road too.

Mr. Silverstein thinks that Davon House could possibly get a contract that averages over 5 million per season.  I guess I don't see it.  No question that Davon House is a much different player than Captain Munnerlyn (height especially), but Munnerlyn had started 50 games before going to the Vikings and his deal averaged 3.75 million per season and the guaranteed money was less than 3.5 million.

Ted would probably get a 5th round comp pick back if House does indeed get a 5+ million per year deal from somebody else.  If the bidding gets in that range I'd say it's pretty safe to say that Ted would rather have the draft pick.

Well, let's see if we can put together a team of former Packers who played with the Vikes. Off the top of my head I got:

QB - Favre

WR - Jennings, C. Johnson, Ferguson

K - Longwell

S - Sharper

DB - Cade

LB - Paup

Start adding on...
