In first nickel rep, #Packers rookie Jaire Alexander in the slot with Tramon Williams and Davon House on perimeter. Would think Alexander gets more and more first-team reps as nickel throughout camp.

We're just one tough question away from "THE CB ROOM IS FINE!"

If you watch those videos I posted on another thread from the 2010 run, it becomes more obvious....
DH13 posted:Herschel posted:As an unrelated (mostly) aside, I wonder if the Ravens shopped Flacco at all. I'm not sure how a team would take on his contract. It basically looks like he'll be there through 2019 because his dead cap hit is rather large otherwise. Jackson sitting two-three years wouldn't be a bad thing either.
Vic thinks BAL may be, or should be, experimenting with a 2 QB offense.
Which is kind of silly, methinks. Sure, Jackson is freakishly athletic enough to do things with, but Flacco? I mean, he's not Bledsoe but he's not Rodgers or Wilson either. If the snap goes to Jackson you'd think it'd be all but 10-on-11.
Marcedes Lewis just drove Jake Ryan into the ground on a running play. Not surprising. It’s what these two are known for.

Training camp for reports too.
Here’s a player to watch: rookie LB @GreerMartini48. He’s on the No. 1 kickoff return front line. He’s also been getting snaps with the No. 2 defense at inside backer.

Better than "left"
Crosby missed a FG? Did Scott screw up holding duties? Cut both of them now!

Hmmm.
@TomSilverstein: If you had to pick one of the #Packers backup QBs who has been most impressive it’s Eastern Kentucky rookie Tim Boyle. Has a rocket arm and has put it on the money in team drills.
@ByRyanWood: First-team special units is a place every undrafted rookie wants to be. So good news for LB Greer Martini of Notre Dame: he’s taken first-team reps on kickoff return past couple days.
More good news for #Packersundrafted rookie LB Greer Martini: he’s also on first-team kickoff coverage.
Double hmmm.
@ByRyanWood: Big upset early in camp: Kyler Fackrell beat #Packers LT David Bakhtiari in a one-on-one pass-rush drill.
(Small sample size alert: Bakhtiari went on to stand up Clay Matthews, and Fackrell lost a rep to Jason Spriggs.)
Still, nice inside move by Fackrell on a speed rush.
Was Buck Cherry yawning during the snap?
Another good day for Scott. Without the help of the breeze he had on Thursday, he averaged 46.8 with 4.64 of hang time
— Packer Report (@PackerReport) July 28, 2018
#Packers rookie JK Scott, who has said he wants his yardage to match his hang time, didn’t get as much distance today, but better hangtimes than Thursday: 42 yards (4.77 seconds), 49 (4.26), 45 (4.99), 51 (4.69), 49 (4.65).
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) July 28, 2018
Average: a near-matching 47.2 yards, 4.67 seconds.
wants his yardage to match his hang time
Hopefully that doesn't mean "30 yards & 3.0 seconds"
It’s day 1 with pads. So a base nickel with Tramon and King outside with Alexander in the slot is a decent indication of your DBs for week 1. And that’ll do just fine.
Agree, Chilli.
Good friend from De Pere attended last two days. Sent me this regarding Boyle.
“Packers need to stash him. Huge arm. Tight spiral. Ball is out FAST. No windup in this kid. He’s not going to jump to backup but give him two years working with AR. Better than Hill or Callahan early in camp.”
Boyle is raw. Had horrible stats at Eastern Kentucky. But there is obviously something here to work with.
In 1 on 1 pass rush Montravius Adams destroyed lesser competition. Good start, but now he must show it against Taylor and McCray.

Maybe he should try kicking into the breeze. Just a thought.

#Packers rookie J’Mon Moore just smashed into coaching intern/former DB Jarrett Bush in back of end zone after catching TD from Tim Boyle.

I have a hard time getting excited about any UDFA linebacker. That has been the biggest joke of tease position for years.
But then it struck me, Capers and Moss together. That's like doubling down on a black hole of suck.
1) Pettine helps to negate some of the Moss suck since he's actually on the field
2) I hope Moss flips out on Pettine pointing out his suck and gets his walking papers.

I’m convinced Moss was given a one year pardon in exchange for MM being forced to can Dom. No one is convincing me otherwise.
But make no mistake. Moss is going away. And Moss knows it.
And where are the Cole Madison updates!?!?!?!? Shouldn’t be too hard to track that slob down and find out what’s going on.
Packers are also moving Quinten Rollins in at ILB. Interesting.
He should have never been considered a CB under Dom. Safety maybe, but not a corner. It'll be interesting to see how he does inside.

I'm betting Bush initiated contact.
BTW, that may also work as a Presidential defense.

Looks like we may add another 10 or so years on our unprecedented number of years with a HOF QB.
GO Pack!
Too early. Rodgers has at least another seven in him.
Unless Pettine is going wild hybrid scientist there is no way Rollins is a better option than either Martinez or Burks inside. Rollins is a safety. He’s always been a safety. Josh Jones is a better inside option than Rollins.
Pettine is ****ing with everything.

Needs to work on his "stupid face".
Hope is that Moss is given the same hall pass Clements received his final year in GB. You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.

Jimmy Graham on why he’s already catching so many passes from Aaron Rodgers.
I like where this is headed. A lot. This has the early unmistakable whiff of Reggie and Charles.

Dude's got 9 lives!
It’s no coincidence that Josh Jones got all up into Jimmy Graham’s face mask on one of the first pass attempts in the 1st padded practice. Jimmy has always been questioned on his ability to respond to physical play. He responded today.
He’s all in.
