The seasons do not push one another; neither do clouds race the wind across the sky. All things happen in their own good time

But I'll let you in on a little secret: The Packers brass saw enough to exercise the 5th yr option or work out a longer term deal with Mr. Love.

But alas, do not despair !
Thanks to the head start -  you now have 7+ months to get over it.

I really don’t give a shit, it’s just an interesting situation to discuss.

I think you're right. This is what I think will happen.

1. Rodgers decides he wants to play "x" more years in Green Bay. Could be 0, 1 or more.

2. If that number is more than 1, they work on a trade with Love after they exercise the 5th year option. If it's 1, they exercise the option or work out a long term extension and plan ahead for 2024. If it's 0 they take the option and wait until 2024 to work on a new deal.

I think Rodgers committed to 3 years based on the deal they gave him.

Wilde has an article up on Jordan Love, couple of snippets below

Matt LaFleur will take credit for it if you want him to, even though he’s pretty sure he’s not the one who coined the phrase. Nevertheless, the Green Bay Packers coach absolutely lives by it, a core tenet that he insists is undeniably true β€” and not just for quarterbacking.

Indecisive equals ineffective

β€œI think it goes for every position β€” and it goes for life, too,” LaFleur explained

LaFleur even acknowledged that the third-year quarterback’s performance definitely altered the coach’s view of his ability, his future and his ceiling.

β€œYeah. He’s so much more confident,” LaFleur replied when asked to compare the player he watched during the 2020 and 2021 training camps. β€œHe’s shown so much growth. It’s night and day ... night and day. Just how he carries himself.

β€œHis ability to in the moment to make adjustments up front with protections is night and day, the way he throws the football is night and day … and when you watch his footwork, it’s so much cleaner. He’s just more decisive in everything he’s doing, and I think you’re seeing it on the field.”

Always wondered, does that call for the comma?

Comma with direct address

When addressing another person by name, set off the name with commas.

Correct:

Mom, I can’t find my shoes!

Cleo, there’s someone on the phone for you.

Hello, Chester.

Linky

However, I think you should use an exclamation mark instead of a period. Although, I guess the period makes it a more "matter-of-fact" statement instead of some wild utterance.
