I usually don't comment on things like this because I consider it a waist of time.  So let me waist a little time - AR is in NY - he ain't our problem.  The new problem in GB is how are the Packers going to be able to afford to re-sign all those wide receivers when they play out their rookie contracts - among other similar things.

I think tit was spot on when he said the current team's biggest concern right now is how to optimize the new window they just opened.

I don't think it's too crazy to think they could make a push for a SB in the next 1-3 years.  Most of those receivers will still be on their rookie deal.  Some will rise to the top while others may fade through hitting their ceiling or injury.  They'll lose some guys but these are first world problems.

I'm just starting to feel sad for him.  For a guy who has more money than I'll ever see and more football accomplishments than most people can ever dream of.  But now I just pity him for what's happened to his mind.

Easy case to defend.

My client was not suggesting Mr. Kimmel was on the list, rather, that he would be embarrassed as he suggested it was a "tin hat theory."

Which is exactly what happened and why there will not be a law suit.    Was Rodgers joking that Jimmy was on the list, probably.  But you can easily make the argument above because Kimmel is a moron.

Trimmed my post to get to the point.  That being, he was replying  to Kimmel suggesting the list didn’t exist.   But, he throat punches cancer kids…so

I've said it before, but this is one more example of how when sports writers say they want athletes to stand up for what they believe in, what's meant is that they want athletes to stand up for what they the writers believe, not they the athletes.

just listen to the media, I am so glad I am not in the middle of that crap anymore.  12 is the pied piper man, they just eat it up and in the meantime, time passes by...the reality is he will be in his 41st year coming off a major injury.  We had to eat our turd sandwich this year, the jets will have to do it soon too I believe.  That cap hit will be amazing.

Rodgers has wasted a lot of goodwill and certainly tarnished his legacy. He's a smart guy who just cannot let go of the spotlight. Most guys who get a major injury hunker down, work to get better to return to the field, and maybe prove everyone wrong as well. Rodgers can't help himself; he has to be in the spotlight. It's all about him, how smert he is, and how right he always is. But when you're taking unsubstantiated shots at other celebrities, you're just plain sad and bitter and reaching to stay relavent.

but it is ok for celebrities to take unstantiated shots at sports celebrities? per kimmel, Rodgers is a whacko, conspiracy thearoies, anti vaxer. You do realize half the country believes what Rodgers believes.  If Kimmel can't take it then don't start the pissing contest. Most can't respond because they don't have the platform. Rodgers does. Suck it up Kimmel, you started this BS.

How about burying the AR thread?  so that we can focus on our team

Rename it and call it   “QBs who underperform in the playoffs”

Or maybe we could it the "Last Call For Aaron Rodgers" thread?

THIS is the true problem and why the sportswriter was pointing out that Rodgers' words are dangerous.  People believe what he says and we've already seen the risk of violence that happens from his kinds of baseless claims.

I don’t know who started what, never watch any late show guys or Pat, don’t know who said what,  other that it appears from numerous outlets that AR alluded to Kimmel being involved with Epstein and his proclivities.

You can’t do that.

Agreed. It would actually be more relevant this week to resurrect an old Mike McCarthy thread and add to that.

There will be 3 guys on the active roster that were coached by MM. That's it 5 years later. Aaron Jones, Kenny Clark, and Jaire Alexander.

So none of this is true?

Not really all that surprising.

Andrew Brandt (a very good follow on Twitter, a former Packer employee, and a close colleague of AR when he was in Green Bay) often posts this comment in his Twitter/X feed. He hasn't specifically for this yet, but I would bet he will make some comment like this.

Without getting into the validity of anything he says specifically, he seems like a guy that just needs some real friends. He's completely estranged from his family, he cycles through girlfriends every 2-3 years, and he's being egged on by a lot of media types that are benefitting from him being controversial (McAfee, ESPN in general, the NY sports media).

Most of us have someone or a group of people we can sit around with and shoot the breeze with that we've known for decades. For many people that's our spouse, our siblings, our parents, high school friends, etc. I don't think he has that at all. He seems to have morphed from a guy that could look at complex situations in a very nuanced way (see this link from what happened in 2015) to a guy that just says stuff to get attention.

I guess Cobb might be the closest thing he has to a friend, but Cobb (and Lazard, Tim Boyle, etc.) are completely dependent on him to keep the money flowing into their pockets, too.

I'll post this again.  One of the great parting gifts AR left the Packers was getting Getsy the OC position in CHI.  Unfortunately that gift just expired.

Except that if they keep Fields he will be working with yet another QB coach and offensive coordinator (the Bears fired both today).

Rodgers benefitted from having the same head coach (MM who focused on developing QBs earlier in his career) during his early development and, perhaps more importantly, Tom Clements as either his QB coach or offensive coordinator from 2006-2016. Although he got hurt in 2017, he probably had his worst two years after Clements left in 2017-18.

Love has been under the same head coach all 4 years (who focused on developing QBs earlier in his career). It could just be that Love gained more experience, but he also seems to have improved a lot more once Clements came back to Green Bay.

Now Justin Fields gets to work with his third QB coach in 4 years in Chicago. If you were going to keep Eberflus for continuity with Fields because Fields showed some growth as a pocket passer this year, why do you fire the QB coach? Maybe Eberflus needed a sacrificial lamb?

Except that if they keep Fields he will be working with yet another QB coach and offensive coordinator (the Bears fired both today).

That is part of my point.  Getsy did not produce success for CHI or for Fields, wasting two of his formative years.  Now CHI and Fields have to start over on offense.  Both are wins for GB.  Unless the new guys are better.  Then it would have been more beneficial for Getsy/Fields to have just enough success to stick around but not really win anything.

Maybe the Bears should just keep Fields and turn him into a Taysom Hill type guy only with more plays.  The D would never know who is going to be running and who will be passing.  It would be the ultimate RPO offense.
