Al Michaels mentioned last night, this game should be about 80 percent Packer fans. I heard another source state, try more like over 90 percent.

I watched a good chunk of the Bores/Bolts game last night. Rivers is GOING to give that Packer secondary a slew of opportunities for INT's. He's currently 6th in the NFL in INT's.  The Bolts are the 24th ranked scoring offense in the NFL averaging about 19.5 points per game. The Packers are now 7th in the NFL averaging close to 27 points per game now.

Joey Bosa looks in All-Pro form. He will be a pain in the ass for 69.

Guessing he broke his finger.

Depressed as this will be the first Packer-Charger game in CA that I've missed since moving here in 1980. Even went to the preseason game. One year had to buy season tickets to get a seat and sold the rest on EBay. This game sold out in milliseconds so I'm sure all the CA Packer fans got tickets early and the prices have not dropped. My neighbor is a Steeler fan who was trying to get tickets to their game in Carson a few weeks ago and he said prices never dropped near game time like they sometime do.

Bosa is a stud.  I was a bit shocked at how careless Rivers was.

Chargers dropped 2 TD's in the EZ that hit the receivers hands.  If that team cleaned things up, they'd have more than 1 win that was within 7pts.  They'll also hang around if you let them.   Gotta come ready to play and jump ahead early.

Looking at the snap count, it's amazing how the coaching change significantly altered the role of Lewis (for the better, IMO). Offering good things not only as a blocker but also as a receiver.

Kumerow is down to playing half the snaps now. If Adams comes back this week that big window of opportunity has closed up. Lazard got the most snaps of all WR's. Guy is ascending.

RE: Kumerow at half snaps:

Yep.  Looks like they have him strictly as an outside guy.  That puts him behind MVS and Lazarow.  And Allison too I guess.

I think we'll be seeing a lot more of Adams in the slot when he comes back.  They probably are thinking Grant as the other slot guy.

I'd say we're fine as far as depth at wide receiver.  The arrow is pointing up, not down there, IMO.

I think back to my early years as an NFL fan, exactly 40 years ago, the 1979 San Diego Chargers were probably my favorite non-Packers' team ever.  John Jefferson was my favorite NFL player even though he was a Charger at that time.  That was probably the best team they ever had though they did get upset early in the playoffs.  I believe at one point during that season they played the Steelers who could eventually become the SB champs that year and they absolutely demolished them.

What a disgrace that franchise has become since then.  Who knows, maybe in the long run moving back to LA will be the right move, but right now the greediness and pettiness of that ownership looks like it's backfired big time in terms of fan support.  I know the support wasn't great in San Diego, but wow, it is totally in the tank now.

I really hope that the Packers jump on them early, cause the crowd to turn completely pro-Packers and really dishearten them.  I almost wonder if the Chargers might enjoy playing on the road more than they do playing at "home".  The players must secretly get very pissed to be at home and get no support. Here's to wishing the Pack can utilize that lack of home field advantage against the Chargers.

Guy is ascending.

AR really appears to have a lot of confidence in him. He's definitely ascending and Shepherd is going in the other direction. He's already lost the KO return job and after his failure to field the final punt last night he might lose that job too.

This game is all about complacency. If the Pack think they can just show up, throw their helmet on the field & walk away with a win, they're going to lose.

Turnovers.  Will play the biggest key. The Pack must jump on them early & often. Play hard for 3 solid quarters. Have about a 4 or 5 possession lead, then coast in for the win.

Let's see if the Pack has the same mentality as a Championship team. Seek & Destroy. Because this week is all about complacency.

I was big fan as a little kid too and giddy when the Pack acquired JJ.  I was too young to understand why that was a bad trade though he did produce in spurts in GB.

Chargers have a better record on the road and that might be the reason why.

My wife and I will be in the stands hooting and hollering for the Pack!  They are holding a Fan Rally in downtown LA on Saturday evening, and we are headed there as well.  If there are other x4ers going this weekend, lets try and meet up.

This better not be a trap game for the team.  No place for complacency.

YATITTLE, I agree -- we should dump Sheppard and activate Tremon Smith...  And, what about Ryan Grant??

Sorry to hear you can't make the trip down YA.

It was fun when the crowds were about 50-50 at the Murph/Qualcomm (and the Packers won in 2003 and 2011), but I think this Sunday will be >75% Green & Gold in that little soccer stadium.

Can't wait to force Rivers into a silent count again like 2011.

Yeah, we had some fun games there. I remember in the rain where we picked off Rivers a zillion times and one of those scrap heap safeties got a pick six. I remember the game where Drew Brees was their QB and got tackled right near the end zone in front of us, LT went off on us on offense and we still won. Fond memories.

It was

RE: Grant and the vet presence. He may be the vet, but he is not in a rhythm with Rodgers like MVS, G-Mo, Lazard, and the backs right now. To me, Grant is the 5th WR when Adams is back. Hell, Grant can't get past Kumerow.

Oh good. Glad I don't have to watch the games the next 3 weeks. Thx for that.

Don't really like the Chargers firing ultra-conservative Whisenhunt.

The last 3 Packer-Chargers games with Rivers at QB have been 27-20 (with Rivers throwing for 488 yards and the Pack breaking up a pass in the end zone at the end of the game), 45-38, and 31-24.

Pack won all 3.

However, if SD opens up the Offense with K. Allen, M. Williams, Gordon/Eckler, and Henry they have some weapons. Rivers can eat up a soft zone.
