Most people will say AARON RODGERS.

Rodgers did cover up a lot of warts with his two MVP seasons. And in 2019 they were a lot like the 2022 Vikings. Won a bunch of games by 7 points or less. Instead of falling off the next year like the Vikings are this year Rodgers went out and had his best or 2nd best season in his career.

Exactly, when is the last time the Packers won a laugher? MLF's first team had 13 wins but was a very lucky 13 wins. They found out how lucky when they played the 49ers in the playoffs and the first half went about like last night did.

New Year's Day against Minnesota?

Here’s the thing

Either MLF moves ahead and fires his ass or he needs to be removed immediately.  This isn’t about making friends nor is it about talking tough in interviews.  Own your shit or kick all of them to the curb.

Herman highlighted the Lions second or third TD, a 2 yard run. Second and goal from the 2 yard line and we had our nickel package on the field. Our worst two run-defender edges (Hollins & Enagbare) and our worst two run defense interior lineman (Brooks and Wooden), 2 ILBers, and 5 DBs. No Clark, Gary, Slayton, Smith , or Van Ness. Lions had 6 blockers at the LOS. As Herman said, just by personnel, there is no way we could stop a run from the 2 yard line. WTF!!!

That’s all on Barry!  Same on 3rd & 3 with the db lined up 6 yards off the line. Coordinator is in over his head.

It's probably too late to fire Barry and make a difference. If he gets canned who takes over? Probably an assistant which likely means more of the same.

He should have been fired immediately after last season so the Packers could hire a DC from outside the organization and brings a new scheme. A new scheme might require different personnel which could be acquired in the off season.

Barry’s defenses are designed to get beat by less. He couldn’t even pull that off in the last game. Unfortunately, I think that’s exactly what MLF is looking for in a defense. They are both getting fired in the next 2 years.

Meanwhile we're watching the wasting of prime years of young players.

If he doesn’t have the guts I’d fire him today.  Like in 5 minutes.  Been there and done that.  Can’t tell you how many leaders I’ve had to let go because they either protected or didn’t address incompetent reports underneath them.

I know, I know 1st chair yadda yadda but the Packers need to step it up.  The MLF fake outrage crap is lame.  Deal with it yo. If you can’t or won’t hit the fucking bricks.

They are really lucky the Saints kicker missed that potential winner.

They are 2-2.

The second half of the Lions game was mostly a result of the Lions coasting. So, if you look at their play from the last quarter of the Falcons game to the end of the first half against the Lions they were outscored 58-21. Give them a lot of credit for the 18 point quarter against the Saints, but are one missed FG from being 1-3 based on only beating the most dysfunction team in football.

We'll learn a lot the next 3 weeks. The Raiders, Broncos, and Vikings are a combined 1-8. If the Packers get swept in those 3 games, I think someone will get the axe. That's very unlikely, but if it does happen it could get ugly fast.

There was plenty of time left on the fucking clock if the Saints make the FG.

MLF's gamble to retain Barry isn't looking very shrewd at the moment.

If MLF doesn’t push for Barry to get canned then he deserves to be fired as well.

I truly believe that MLF knows things are FUBAR on the defensive side of the ball and I truly believe they will make a change I really do just not immediately like many want to see.  I am one by the way who would love to see an immediate change at DC but as someone else said who do make the DC if you do that now?

I'm going to throw this out there. Given MLF's recent comments about the defense, it makes me wonder if the decision to keep Barry wasn't entirely MLF's decision.

I'm probably wrong but the odd management structure in this organization leads me to question who is making all the decisions.

I vote for Bissacia. He would get players to run through a wall for him. Make him interim. Then wait for Saleh to get fired at the end of the year.

1) Bisaccia has not experience as a DC, I like the guy, but that seems foolish.

2) Why do people think Saleh will get fired at the end of the year? Seems to me unlikely.

3) I am not a Barry supporter in any stretch of the imagination and wished he was gone a long time ago, but at what point is it fair to think that maybe some of all those #1 draft choices on defensive may not be that good.  I know the tackling on the team is horrendous, I get jealous watching teams like the Jets hit a guy, wrap him up and drive him backwards.  I don't think anyone is questioning Clark, Jaire and Gary, but maybe the rest aren't as good as we think.

Agree with Herman's conclusion that this is an evaluation year and nothing is really gained by firing Barry now. Discussion since the Detroit debacle has really been about the defensive failures and the larger overall problem, the softness of the team. Dan Campbell owns MLF and the lack of toughness of the team is the primary reason for it.
