This is what I was talking about in the game thread.   Someone commented on only giving up 13 points in the 1st half as being satisfactory.   No, it wasn't.  It was fools gold because they were getting slowly bled out.   The red zone stops were not sustainable because of the amount of time spent on the field getting worn down.

The stat I'm interested in is points per drive.    Barry's philosophy shortens the game as he allows these long drives so the points per game looks better than it is.   But he puts his offense under extreme pressure as they need to score every drive to keep pace.

Brilliant post. Basically, Barry’s defense is designed to keep the ball away from his offense.

Just watched MLF presser .. .. talked all about "communication problems" ...translation - we have a lot of dumb players on defense.

Wasn't the reason he kept Barry last year was something about continuity on defense? There is no one playing on the defense that hasn't been here since training camp. Communication problems shouldn't be happening in Game 14 after 6 months of practices and meetings.

The positional coaches.

Jerry Gray has zero problems communicating with the DB's. I wonder why that was? And he was CLEARLY undermining the DC who Gray knew was in over his head but he gets the DC gig....because he married Marinellis daughter?!?!

MLF has no balls.... 🖕🏞🖕🏞

The DC is clearly in over his head but hey.....let's let him "coach out the string" classic Packers

How many of the talented players on defense will want to leave after this season?

When Brandon Staley gave his press conference after they got hammered by the Raiders, I told the Wife.....he's gone tomorrow. Fired....

She sends me the link when it happened and I just laughed.

The fact Joe Barry is allowed to coach this team is a ðŸ’Ŋ% travesty and classic Packers

I hope Carolina beats the pants off of this shitty defense.

I'm thinking Bryce Young might get himself in the Rookie of the Year conversation after this game.

Anyone notice what a REAL defense did to Tommy cutup of the Giants yesterday??

So in the final quarter and a third (aka Garbage time) Tommy picked up another 104 yards passing.

Saints completely shut him down with far less talent on their defense than the Packers.

If the Packers lose to Carolina and the defense gives up more than 21 points, Joe Barry needs to be fired before they board the plane back to Green Bay.

The Panthers have not scored a TD in the last two games.

They have not scored a TD in the first half in the last 5 games.

They are averaging less than 12 points a game in their last 8 games.

Barring a special teams or offensive turnover to give them points, there is no excuse to give up more than 10 points against them.

I think the communication problem is between MLF and Joe Blow.  And why the hell he doesn't do something about I can't understand.  Several times during games I have seen MLF appear to be livid when the D blew a play.  Send Joe Blow packing, JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barry has to see the handwriting on the wall. If he had any semblance of self respect he'd just resign now. But, oh wait, he wants to get paid to finish the year before getting shit canned. If the Packers trot him up to the podium for another press conference this year to mumble and bumble his lame horseshit I'm gonna gag. Surely wont watch if they do.

Bryce Young will be an MVP candidate by Sunday afternoon

You really expect the guy to quit and give up his paychecks for the rest of the seasonâ€Ķespecially when he sees the writing on the wall and knows he’ll likely be out of a job soon?

Communication problems, as in Rudy Ford making Joe Barry look bad by jumping up and down while screaming at Jonathan Owens who apparently needed a word with Quay just before the snap. The tape of this game is 1000 times worse than watching it live. Communication problems in week 15 of year 3. MLF is running a clown show.

Teams that want to win.

Attending the state wrestling meet in Madison in the late 80s as a 15yr old, I came across a copy on the street.  There was a front page story about Shalala being one of the evil flying monkeys in the wizard of oz.  It was done so straight faced that I wasn't quite sure what I was reading. I had never seen anything like it and my head was exploding.
