That would likely change if #23 is out for an extended period, butâ€Ķ.

Packers are ranked 6th in the NFL in total defense (yards allowed/game), their highest since Week 5 of 2018 when they were 4th (they finished 18th). Their highest last year was 7th in Week 16 (finished 9th): Here are the defensive snap counts from Sunday’s win over the Steelers.

While total yardage stat looks good...we are still 19th in points allowed. This is mainly due to the fact that opponents are 11 for 11 in scoring TDs in the Red Zone. Never really understood why the rank is based yards rather than points .... after all, isn't the goal of defense to stop the other team from scoring? Our offense is complete opposite. 25th in yards but 14 in scoring.

When we were all grinding through all this FO/coaching staff/roster cluster last year, I posted several times "what if division championships and sled hills were the only goals".  I was kind of kidding and trying to sound clever.  But that shit is starting to sink in.  And honestly, when it comes to the general fan base, they may just be reading the room.

Well, yeah. It has a very “Cubs” vibe.

Thinking about the Smith acquisition, which seems kind of "un Packer like", adding to a position where the two starters have played well. We have played pretty well vs. the run playing 3 interior d-lineman on early downs. Could staff be thinking that it is just a matter of time (vs. better QBs) before when offenses see us in that personnel grouping, they are going to automatically pass? If so do you combat it by playing 2 interior lineman, but 3 LBers, instead of 5 DBs, which leaves you vulnerable to the run.

God bless people that have to use catheters.
Anytime one was required as a part of a hospital procedure, I detested them.

I had a ruptured appendix in August and had emergency surgery.  I woke up with nurse ratchet taking care if me. She told me if I did not pee 16 oz in 4 hours she was putting a catheter in me. My mission for the next 3 hours was peeing . It took a while but that bitch did not  win. That gal missed her calling or time in life. She should have grown up in ww2 working for hitler.

I was very critical of the Joe Barry hire.

Did not like that he was a 2-time failure.

Did not like that his track record screamed nepotism more than achievement.

Did not like that Brandon Staley didn't hire him as DC when he took over the Chargers.

Did not like that he was the 2nd choice behind Jim Leohnard (who has done another outstanding job at UW this season).

I WAS WRONG.

The D is sooooooooo much better ... both SCHEMATICALLY and ENERGY-WISE than it has been for over a decade now.

Congratulations Joe Barry.
