Love's was more impressive. He had to put it after Watson cleared and before the DB trailing Watson entered the window, and then he had to hit Reed in stride. The window on that throw was miniscule. Now, we can argue if he actually saw Watson coming or not since it's been said Watson either ran the wrong route or screwed up the timing royally. So, it was either a ridiculously amazing throw or it was dang lucky.

Let’s imagine that Super Bowls exist within an infinite amount of parallel universes.

Probability would suggest that the Vikings are losers in every single one across all space and time.

When you're in the red zone....windows are tight and things move a lot faster.

He Sticks the pass in your chest there Jayden. Get ready cuz it is humming in the red zone or Gold zone or Green & Gold zone. Whatever you dudes are calling it now.

I call it the "Barry is getting closer to getting fired zone." I like the ring to it.

Bless your heart, Shadow.  But Barry is going to steal your soul for another year.

At least.

Patrick Mahomes is likely to light up his defense this week (assuming his WRs can catch anything), but Mahomes does that to a lot of defenses.

After that, the Packers player a murderer's row of QBs: Tommy DeVito, Baker Mayfield, Bryce Young, Joshua Dobbs, and Justin Fields. Against that group, I would guess Barry's defensive rankings are only going to go up.

How many of those QBs will be benched by the time the Packers face them?

I think Love's inaccuracy problem are all about his footwork. He spent the first half of the season running for his life because of poor pass protection and developed some bad habits. His deeps balls are coming up short because he's putting too much air under them. He didn't have a lot of touch with his passes when he first got to GB and now I think he's overcompensating sometimes.

I look at every QB the Packers play against this season and still only see two I would rather have, Herbert and Mahomes.

I've only watched a few of JTO's breakdowns but the recurring theme with Love is, if he doesn't get the ball out on time and in rhythm, he "pops up" in his stance and loses the leverage his back foot should be giving him on the deeper throws.  If he has to hitch once or twice before ripping it, he needs to replant and drive off that back foot.  He has plenty of arm strength and arm talent but his footwork does need to improve.

He's clearly adopted some of AR's habits and throwing without his feet set and bouncing while in the pocket are a few of them.  Thing is, AR's mechanics were textbook earlier in his career and they served him well.  The stuff Love is mimicking is from late stage AR and I don't think he's ready for that yet.

Something has changed the last 3 weeks...dramatically.

First off, the entire offense is playing better...the OL is playing much better...it's still largely a steaming pile, but enough has been tweaked to not have 10 under duress most of the game.

WR/TE are making plays...catching balls they dropped earlier in the season. Half of it is on them...half of it is 10 is throwing better balls. He's giving guys a chance to make a play after the catch. He still throws some not in the right place, forcing guys to have to just catch it and no time to RAC.

I think MLF's playcalling has been much better, much simpler and much more to 10's strengths. I think he was trying to put too much out there, and it was complicating things for 10, for the OL and for the young WR/TE. MLF has always been a playcalling nerd...he throws the most complicated shit out there...and luckily with 12, he had a guy that had been around so long, he was able to figure out what worked, what wasn't going to work, and would change plays accordingly.

49ers are good on offense because they don't overload Purdy with a bunch of concepts...they keep it simple, throw some variations in to keep defenses honest, and they keep it 2nd and short, 3rd and short. I don't have the stats to back it up, but I feel like when the Packers go 2nd down and 5 or less, Love's success rate goes way up. When it's 2nd and 8, 9 or 10 it drops way off.

I will continue to preach patience with 10...this is his best streak as a pro...but it's also this teams best streak all season. But he is effectively a rookie. As long as he stacks success, he will continue to get better.

Bitch all you want about Joe Barry...the defense has played as well as it has all year...yes they've been gashed running the ball, but they've also had timely turnovers. They kept Mahomes largely in check, and sacked him more than most teams have sacked him. They kept his "play ground plays," to a minimum, and kept Kelce in check.

This team is winning not just because of 10...they are winning because a lot of people are playing better.

LaFleur said he's been able to open the playbook up more now that the receivers are getting on the same page.  His gameplans and playcalling have been impressive the last 2 weeks.

I think among the biggest improvements is the elimination of stupid penalties that were putting the offense in awful down and distance situations.  That helps Love out immensely.  The offense sputtered a few times in the second half last night when they did have a few penalties (e.g., Walker's holding call).
