Caught this on my car radio this morning.

The old spice quote was funny.  But it was good to hear he's a well spoken dude and all about the positive and "team".

After watching some of those interviews with Love, I now see how Aaron Jones is on the same level as Donald Driver was late in his career.  He's not done yet!  He's just entering that phase but should have a few more good highlight years in him.  Hopefully his career ends the same way Driver's did in Dallas.

Love to focus on footwork this offseason with longtime coach Steve Calhoun. Link (paywall)

But Calhoun saw what anyone who watched Love’s throwing mechanics saw. So after he sits down with Love later this month to review videotape of some of those back-foot throws and discuss what Love was or wasn’t thinking on them, they will begin work on tightening up Love’s footwork for his second season as the Packers quarterback.

Thank goodness. I was afraid Love and the Packers believe he's a finished product. I'm glad they heeded X4's plentiful suggestions that Love not spend the offseason tending to the sledding hill.

He should be working with Archie Bell.

Next year's Super Bowl is in New Orleans.

What happened in January 1997 in New Orleans? 🤔🤨

Let's hope Love doesn't get caught up in all the attention. It's too common for a guy to have a great year his first year, get tons of attention, and then struggle the next year because he started letting in the hype. Then it's a wasted year. I don't think that will happen to Love, but you never know.

Sounds about right.

Why not? That's what I make. Seems pretty well within the mean for salaries among humans.

I really like the way #69 stated that.

McCarthy said this when Rodgers first started. "He doesn't get bored making the easy pass"

That definitely changed when he started force feeding Davante.

I said the same thing about #10....I hope he doesn't get bored completing the easy pass.

So far in 2023....Love used the offense to succeed. Take what the defense gives you, move the chains and score points. It's not boring ....it's successful winning football

Multiple media have hypothesized (rightfully so, IMHO) that FAs want to come to Green Bay because of Love's talent and potential.

There was a story circulating on social media this weekend about the effect Reggie had on TOG when he signed with Green Bay, how they were driven to succeed, and how it changed the course for the Packers.

The same may be true with the signing of McKinney. Not to the degree of what Reggie had, but the possibilities of increased turnovers and/or creating positive field position would mean more opportunities for Love and the offense.

Favre didn't sign with Green Bay.  He was traded from Atlanta. Reggie White signed as a FA two months later. But to your point about Love, it is nice to see their top two FA signings mentioned Love as a factor.

"Favre didn't sign with Green Bay.  He was traded from Atlanta. Reggie White signed as a FA two months later."

wait what? Favre was here a year or two before Reggie. Reggie said Favre being in Green bay was one of the reasons he wanted to player here as he played against him while with Eagles. Not that the 17 million he got was not reason enough. Pl

I stand corrected: White signed the following year. I think I may have read Timmy's post incorrectly.  I thought he was suggesting "...about the effect Reggie had on TOG when he signed with Green Bay...". But if he meant that Reggie signing had a lot to do with QB (and God and $17 million), then I agree.

Correct.... the "HE" in Timmys sentence was referring to Reggie, not Favre.

I'm sure it makes a lot more sense now. 😁

I cannot tell you how many times I remove pronouns from my post and use the person's name before hitting the "post now" button. It helps avoid this type of confusion. 🙂
