Brice Turang with an RBI.
He knew he wasnβt hitβ¦.need to fake it

Brice Turang hitting a grand slam after that call was overturned would be the most unexpected thing possible.
Brice Turang is pretty much helpless at the plate unless he can work a walk.

But a flailing strike outβ¦yup.
You cannot strike out in that situation. The ball must be put in play somewhere.
Turang has to do better than that. He's a contact hitter that doesn't make contact when it matters. Somebody has to pick him up.
Damn
That hurt.
Base loaded, no outs. Strike out. Double play. JFC.
Just one of those games.
good grief
Taylor lines it to Longoria, who doubles up Adames, to end that Brewer threat.
Peguero in for Uribe.
Adames didn't even consider that ball could be caught and was in LaLa land.
BTW Adames, what happened to letting the ball go through? The ball was hit right in front of him.
Any chance they could pinch hit Corbin Burnes? No outs and they canβt get one goddamn run.

Turang is literally one of the worst offensive players who plays regularly in the major leagues. If he had had about 50 more plate appearances, he'd have qualified as a full time player. His 585 OPS would have ranked 134th out of 135 full time players (Tim Anderson was at 582). He should be your late inning utility infielder and pinch runner. Someday he may be adequate enough on offense to merit playing regularly, but he wasn't ready this year.

That's always been his issue, whether it's with understanding situational baseball while hitting or running the bases.
Milner in for Peguero.
Brewers outhitting AZ 10-5 and have left 9 men on base. How many chances like the last one will they get? We're getting close to seeing the DBacks best relief pitchers.

Very fundamentally unsound but his talent overshadowed it so much he never had to learn those aspects of the game.

Sure looked like that ball was destined to hook into the corner. He would have scored easily if just stood there and waited to see. Also easily would have made it back to 2nd since Longoria fell to ground as he caught it.
the Brewers 3 for 10 with RISP on the evening.
Of all people, Yelich fukks up on the base paths.
Just a completely idiotic play by Yelich. What the hell was he thinking?
When you make mistakes like Adames and Yelich have on the basepaths you deserve to lose.
I don't see how that can be overturned.
Might have been better off just busting ass to 3rd
@PackerRick posted:I don't see how that can be overturned.
Should never have been in a position to happen. Sometimes you get what you deserve.
Another inning in the terlet.
That promising start ended in a hurry. Brewers are simply playing like crap.
Payamps in for Milner.
Nice throw by Willie C. to double up Carroll!
Safe
Brewers finally get the benefit of one of the close calls.

Youβre as good as my weatherman/person/they.
No way the ump saw that brush of the pantleg in real time, it's debatable in slow motion. But the evidence is inconclusive so we're lucky it was called out on the field and I'll take it. Finally something went the Brewers way.
