Murphy just said the leaders of the team felt a complancency had set in among players and coaches and it was important to these lead players that “things get shaken up”. Also talked about lack of accountability

A little surprised Murphy openly said what many had suspected

Exactly...

"We were lazy fukks and got McCarthy fired. We will work harder for the new guy."

That was unusal.

a) exposed that he and Gutekunst weren't fully connected this year

b) 2019 is a put up or shut up for many in the GB front office and the player leaders - these player leaders weren't doing much leading if there was complacency amongst the players.

Who's holding Murphy accountable?

He answers to no one in terms decision making. He can be removed by the Executive Committee. It’s good to be king.

Well, this sure as hell ain’t Zook:

LaFleur's thoughts on #Packers defense and special teams: "I want a defense that is ball hawking, that plays fast and physical, and is going to eliminate explosive plays." "I want to be sound. I want to attack matchups on special teams."

You can only play fast defense if you have fast defensive players. We do what we do.

Lafleur might end up being the best draw for quality assistants around the league. Young, innovative, attached to the McVay tree. Could end up having the pick of the litter in terms of coaches who are ambitious to scale the ladder. I'm sure McDaniel would have top draw, but now that he's out of the running, GB might benefit from that aspect more than anything. Reid, Gruden, Mooch, Marty all came onboard and made names for themselves based on Holmgren's tutelage. In such a conservative organization, is this the most progressive move they could have made?

I think he was actually referring to the players in leadership roles. I.e. Rodgers and crew. As well as certain coaches.

Not specifically, or even at all, himself and Gute.
