ELGTON JENKINS, Mississippi State (6-4 ½, 311, 5.10, 2): Fifth-year senior. “He and McCoy are very, very similar,” said one scout. “Really good football player. Good athlete. Balance, hands, feet, FBI (football intelligence). I’d say late first or second.” Started 26 games at center in 2017-’18 after making five starts at LT, two at LG and one at RG in 2015-’16. “He doesn’t have a dominant trait but he’s productive, strong, experienced,” another scout said. Longest arms (34) of the centers. Wonderlic of 19. “I like him but he has a little degree of stiffness,” a third scout said. “He’s never had a quarterback under center. If he’s going to have to step and reach (block) that’s going to be hard.” From Clarksdale, Miss

A center? Seriously????

Starting G and a guy that can slide over to C if an injury occurs.  Smart pick when you consider the franchise lines up behind him.  No Rodgers, no go.

In the minority here, I know, but I'm not a Linsley fan.  Blocks nothing a lot.

In any case, needed depth and size and some experience at G.

Linzzzley's a decent blocker, but if I had a nickel every time he had a blatantly obvious low/high snap that Rodgers was miracuoulsy able to savage...I've never understood the near-universial mancrush around him.

Tretter was injured a lot, but he was the superior lineman. Not only was he strong at the LOS, he was able to push into the second level as well. A true shame he couldn't stay healthy.

Gutey likes versatile big guys with bubble.

The in draft phrase this year is "twitchy."  Not sure what it means.  "Bubble" definitely fits Jenkins better.

Pick looks good to me.

Ditto. His limp shotgun snaps are not favorites either.

Tretter was more athletic and could get to the second level better than Linsley, but Linsley was much better if the defense lined a NT up over the center, Tretter didn't have the anchor to deal effectively with that.

WR has to be the worst position to only have "potential" going for you.  He apparently had a dust up with the 9ers when invited for a visit.  So potential and shitty attitude may not be doing him any favors.  You can't be a diva if you don't have the output to show for it.

I bet he ends up a mid round flyer pick like Polite.
