Bears too with that RB

Yes, he is.

Well, 4-picks, 4-players drafted, so yeah.
The reach at 12 for a boom or bust guy was and is a strange choice.

No kidding. He's only pined for like 90 different guys in the last week or two.
1 out of 90 ain't too shabby.
This fukker better pan out or I'll never hear the end of it.
And I'm with you. I like this pick a. Lot.
So ... just 4 picks left tomorrow, barring trades. Please, just don’t pick a kicker or long-snapper! I know they go BPA, but I’d think those 4 picks might represent CB, ILB, maybe another O-Lineman. Maybe another receiver, too, though I know we have a lot of WR’s right now. Especially if he can be a return man (though Derrick Savage may be capable in that area, especially with his speed.). If not a receiver, a running back, perhaps?
****.q yeah!!
I might find a way to get up into the 4th and draft Mack Wilson if he's still there. I like Blake Cashman too.
Pipkins was one of the guys I though the Packers would have targeted but the Chargers nab him at 91.
And the other tackle I thought the Packers would target goes to the Jets in Edoga.
Boykin and Dean go next. These are all guys I could have seen Green Bay target.
Still waiting for the 'hot mom' draft pick.
I hope Gutelicious understands that it is an important tradition,
Collective meh!
I'm happy with what we've done. Every one of the areas I hoped we'd address in the draft have been checked off the list.
Still some very good prospects on the board. Glad we have two four......oh.
Still a lot of holes to fill but it appears there are probably 22 qualified starters now and a little depth at IOL and Edge.

I had right tackle on my list. I think that is a higher priority than another d lineman.
I'm a little underwhelmed by our collective picks but we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully all of these guys pan out and end up contributing. I think the Gary selection and trading both of our 4th RD picks just kind of took the luster off of the entire draft for me.

I think Gute strongly felt Savage would be gone by #30 and that he is the best safety in the entire class. He appears an excellent complement to Amos what with his 4.3+ 40 speed, space coverer and physicality. So I have no problem with that.
Gary seemed to be often double and triple teamed, often disrupted the line of scrimmage, and has off the roof numbers (size and speed). I am cool with it from the standpoint of his projected impact.
I am beating a dead horse, but I simply have a higher priority for RT than DL.

I've been hearing this same narrative from multiple teams fan bases .
Mariucci thinks the Packers could've gotten Savage at #30 too. I disagree as the Raiders also took a Safety (Abram)
It's not true. Multiple sources - much better ones than Mooch - have insisted that Savage wasn't going to get to 30.
I'll definitely be pulling for all of these guys to realize their potential. I'm hoping the Savage and Jenkins picks are home runs because we really need to solidify the back end of the D and the interior O line.
Savage and Amos could be a very interesting and solid safety combination. I have no doubt that they'll be significantly better than the cluster we had back there last year with Brice, Tramon, etc.. Looking forward to seeing if we can run some single high safety D to free up another person for Angry Bald Man to send from anywhere. Savage's speed has a lot to do with that possibility.
We've invested so much draft capital in DB's over the past 5 years, (8 out of 12 of our top 2 picks since 2014) that it has to start paying off. Alexander is a keeper and I hope Savage plays to that level. HaHa didn't cut it, Jones has been a complete waste and I don't know if it's ever gonna click for him. King can't stay on the field and Jackson is still a work in progress who I hope takes a leap forward this year.
If we don't draft a WR, FA Rishard Matthews is an option.

Yup.
Packers GM Brian Gutekunst when asked whether he reached for S Darnell Savage by trading up to 21. "I know for a fact we would not have gotten him at 30.." Was told Indy was eyeing him in the 20s

Marriucci is a twit. Man his 10 minutes are long over with. He brings nothing.
Charley Casserly is on the NFL Network and he said the Packers have had the best draft.
Charley Casserly. Is this supposed to make me feel good?

Seattle was also at #29.
Raiders, Seattle & Chargers (who took a S in round 2) are most likely 3 teams that had Savage targeted. Seattle obviously needed more draft capital so they felt the trade w/Green Bay was better for them than the player.
4.3 speed baby. Can't teach it.
Also want to point out, according to the point value draft chart - Gutey got over on Schneider a little bit. #21 = 800 / #30, #114 & #118 = 744
I expect that Gutey will "give" some value back to Schneider at some point in the future.
When's our next pick? About 3:00pm?
Hakeem Butler to the Cardinals. I liked him so it'll be interesting to see how his career pans out with Murray throwing him the ball. That is if Murray can stay upright long enough to get rid of it.
So in the 6th round the Packers have pick #185 and pick # 194 which is from Seattle. Was this pick also part of the trade up in round 1 or was this pick from a previous trade?
First punter off the board to San Fran early in the 4th RD. Hang the GM...
^^ From Hunley trade.
Hate to beat a dead horse but it sure would have been nice to have the 12th and 16th picks in the 4th. This is boring watching and waiting this long in-between picks.
Gutedontcare.
You draft a punter in round 4 his last name better not be Wishnowsky. But there you go.....
Seahawks drafted another WR -- Doug Baldwin must be done.
Why are Deionte Thompson & Mack Wilson still available?
No idea why Mack Wilson is still available.
