Matt LaFleur said the other day (jokingly, I think) that he might put Elgton Jenkins at tight end.

Matt LaFleur states what has become obvious: Rookie Josh Myers will "most likely be our starting center." He's taken first-team reps since he arrived after the draft. Following in footsteps of fellow Buckeye Corey Linsley, who was a Day 1 starter.

But Linsley was a starter out of necessity. JC Tretter was supposed to be the center to replace Evan Dietrich-Smith.
Tretter straight up got Wally Pipped.
Some observations on Day 6

Players can't wait to leave this team apparently.
Itโs not the team, itโs the town of Green Bay / state of Wisconsin.

LOVE The Last Dance.
Rodgers to Gute - "You're still my little bitch, right?"
Gute - "Yes sir"
Rodgers - "Good. Have you contacted Jordy yet?"
Gute - "Sir, it's my next thing to do. He's been ignoring my calls, I'm going to call from a burner phone"
Gute to Rodgers - โHeard youโre getting marriedโฆโ
Rodgers - "YEP"
Gute - โSoooo, my invitation mustโve gotten lost in the mailโ
You going to wear your hair like a girl all season?
Guteyโฆ..how do you feel about Indy?
ARโฆ.Iโd never vacation there.
Clay Matthews, please pick up the white courtesy phone.
AR to Gute:
โMarry, fuck, kill - Olivia Munn, Danica Patrick, Shailene Woolley. GO!โ
Hmmmm....
Wonder if it's a knee, ankle, Achilles, broken bone?
Too bad for him in any case. He was listed 2nd on the depth chart, behind Z Smith, and I think his experience and performance gave him a leg up on other depth/rookie players. At least as the coaches viewed it.
it is odd that the type of injury wasn't mentioned.
Martin is apparently being tried out at OLB... he's behind Summers and Burks on the depth chart at MLB. Ouch.
From the interwebs this hour:
Packers TE Josiah Deguara has been medically cleared and is off PUP. He tore his ACL in Week 5 last season as a rookie, so he's a little less than 10 months out from his injury.
@Pakrz posted:Martin is apparently being tried out at OLB... he's behind Summers and Burks on the depth chart at MLB. Ouch.
Short handed. Z and Rambo both not available during camp. Burks was a bust there at OLB.
But it is curious that he has fallen down the depth chart.
That's the worst way to get hurt.
@PackerHawk posted:Jaire picked off a 12 to 17 pass which is really damn impressive.
Aaron Rodgers says Jaire Alexander had Devin Funchess in man coverage yesterday, fell off him to pick off corner route to Davante Adams: "I definitely didn't expect a guy in one-high safety to fall off the go route." Compared it to uncalled blitz for safety at Vikings last year.
โ Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) August 4, 2021
Should've traded Rodgers when he still had value. 17 year vet getting fooled by a young CB.
Can't win 'em all...don't sell Jaire short...we're talking top cornerback in the league, here.
On another note, our O-line is not getting any pre-season love in the media...PFF grades them out at #16...๐

I know the depth chart doesn't mean that much but I cannot comprehend how this is even possible. Martin showed more in his injury riddled first year than both those clowns put together.
I guess every Packers FO has there Carl Bradfords.
Scratch that. I'd be giddy with Carl Bradford at this point.

I think he should get a bit of pass this season too. Basically a rookie season again and coming off an ACL injury. Still, I bet he shows a hell of a lot more than FlopBurger.
In other news, I get to check off one of my bucket list items. I get to take my 20 year old grandson to Lambeau this year. My first trip to Green Bay was in 2001 and he was a couple of months old then. He watched the game then from Florida with his onesie Packer shirt and now he is a Junior Architecture Major at UCF. He is a huge Packers fan (because of me) and we got tickets to the Rams game, Sunday after Thanksgiving. He actually got tears in his eyes when I showed them to him. He knows I dont have too many of these type trips left in me so it will be a legacy i leave with him. Excited already to spend that time with him and also to see what should be the game of the year if all things play out as they should.

He's going to be hard to keep off the 53. Has been really good since OTA's earlier in the year.
Maybe Gutey just cuts Cobb..

Eric Stokes has taken his lumps against Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams in camp, but he just won a rep there. The rookie covered up a good route nicely down the left sideline. Nowhere for Rodgers to place the football.
