We might get a crack at drafting Olave...Wilson, not likely. London may be on the board at 22....injury risk, but it's not an ACL...Better really do the medical on any injured player before drafting them...we've been burned before...Burks likely will be there. It will all depend on who the team likes, and who's available. Jameson Williams might be tempting, but he won't be able to contribute for most or all of the season.

Jameson Williams is the wild card in all this. He tore his ACL in January, but he runs a 4.25 40. He could come in and, if all he did was what MVS did, he would have a lot of value. Even with Adams, the Packers lack speed at WR and TE. He's as fast as it gets, but do you gamble on him being ready this year?

A guy I'd like to see in the middle rounds is David Bell. He was a great college receiver in the Big 10, but he ran a 4.65. That might let him drop where you can take a shot at him in the middle rounds.

I'm hoping Alec Pierce is as good as his athleticism...solid numbers for a guy his size...Some may have him ranked as a 2nd round pick, but if he's a solid WR, I'd take him in the 1st.

I think London, Wilson and Olave are gone, and I'm guessing Williams will be too. A team like the Giants could take him and stash him this year and have a potential game changer for their new QB next year.

Pierce is one of my favorites. He seems to be tailor-made for Green Bay. He has deceptive speed, can get deep, great hands, good height, well built and blocks downfield well for a guy they can get in the second.

Burks is a solid choice too. He's a freight train at WR if they decide to spend a #1 on one.

Still on the Erik Ezukanma bandwagon, as well. Good hands, body control, size, deceptive speed and can lay out a fool blocking downfield.

Love Austin and Moore, but yeah, their size probably means they're not coming to Green Bay unless they think Amari is a total bust. That said, I have a feeling Moore could play on the outside regularly even as a hobbit.

Williams would be nice mainly to here the whining on this board that the FO is not aLl iN to win this year.

Draft 2. One in the 1st and one mid-rounds… sign or trade for a veteran or two and force 12 to actually try to find open MFers not wearing #17.

We should get 2 WRs with 2 of our first four picks. We can also find depth in the 4th or 5th rounds. Eric Ekuzanma and speedster Tyquan Thornton can be found there. KCC is in the same predicament we are in with WRs and they also have 2 first round picks near pur picks, so if we don't draft WRs, they will.

I like Burks. PFF has him at #28, so the value is certainly there, going by their board. One thing they note is that he played 77% of his snaps from the slot, so he's largely untested as a boundary receiver. Can you move him outside? With his size, it certainly seems like that could work.

Post-combine, they've moved him to #31... still in that range for #28.

That's really an incomplete look at the 2018 draft. Gutey managed to get another first-rounder that he used for Savage and the team got four good years out of MVS. The fact that the Chiefs were willing to overpay for his services shouldn't be held against the GM.

All that said, I'll agree that overall his drafting has been relatively lackluster, especially in the middle and later rounds and he definitely needs to do better.

I mostly agree with you, but MVS really gave us, what, two years? Last year wasn't all that great. We needed him late in the season, and he wasn't there.

I am entitling this mock "Dream from Heaven,"

I was able to trade up into the 8 spot using my 3rd (having 2 2nds made this easy to swallow) and grab a premiere edge player. I was still able to get one of the top impact WR in Olave, and trade up with a 7th to #38 to also snag Watson. Got the top TE in the draft, and a more athletic Deguara option. 4 premium weapons for 12 and/or 10 to work with.

Last three are core ST type guys. This won't happen, but it was highly entertaining to do.

You would be among good company...many draft gurus feel the same. Jalen Wydermyer from TAMU was sneaking up the board fast, but something in the last week or so spooked someone...I have seen him as recently as yesterday projected into round 5 or 6.

Jelani Woods is perhaps the best overall athlete...but at 6'7" he may be too tall for ideal. If Chiggy Okonkwo was 6'4" he'd be the first TE off the board with his athleticism. Really hoping the Packers take him and use him instead of Deguara.

Abraham Lucas from Washington St. is also a guy I have seen projecting to the Packers. Similar measurables to Rosenthal. Can play LT or RT.

I like Lucas, but I think they'd need to use a 2 on him, and maybe trade up. After Neal/Ekwonu/Cross then Penning I'd think he'd be in that next group with Tyler Smith and Petit-Frere. Of course Raimann and Faalale are wild cards, as well.
