How early does Gutekunst pull the trigger on a linebacker?

They probably need to bring in three roster-worthy guys by training camp and two starting-quality guys, but Walker was an aberration in the drafting history.

I still like Edefuan Ulofoshio as mid-round guy. He's a bit older, but 4.56 and lead the broad and vertical might mean he'll go earlier than many expect, though his athleticism is his known strong suit.

Wilson (also older), Cooper or Gray would likely cost them a much higher pick, but is Gutekunst willing to spend it again on a non-premium position?

Gute has a history of throwing multiple bodies at a problem. I think heโ€™ll draft at least 3 lbs and 2 safeties.

"Hafleyโ€™s new defense is expecting the safety and slot cornerback position to be interchangeable."

If that doesn't scream Cooper Dejean I don't know what does.

I have been wrong now on Shea McClellin and Josh Jackson.  No way I'm wrong for the third time in my life.

Mirror safeties make a lot of sense as to not be predictable (re: exploitable). Numerous guys also  fit the bill this year.

Could be more to the story.  I would think they'd talk to him to see if he had any injuries or other physical issues when he was tested.  Or they probably have an idea about his playing speed by watching tape and by scouts actually seeing him play in person.

Kinchensโ€™  low numbers were a surprise as he looks good on tape.  I give him credit for going for it, though. Iโ€™m guessing Nubin knew his numbers werenโ€™t going to be good either so he avoided the tests.

Kiper's lates mock has Arizona OT Jordan Morgan to Packers at #25...while this would make Pakrz happy, he lacks in two key areas of Packers metrics on OT...first he will be 23 by the time the season starts, and his arms are not quite 33 inches which is the magic number for the Packers at OT...which they already bend on because league average is 34"...which is not to say they wouldn't consider moving Morgan to OG...however, spending #25 on an OT, you'd think the intention is to play him at LT or RT at some point. Several higher quality CB in that mock would be available at 25, and I am guessing the Packers would spend it there rather than settle for an OT.

I don't follow UA football too closely but know they have some pretty good WRs.  One of them, Jacob Cowing, is coming out this year.  He ran a 4.38 forty at the combine and will probably be a mid-late round pick.  Cowing is a little shit though.. 5'8" / 168 lbs.

The one to watch comes out next year (Tetairoa McMillan).  He's a big dude and very productive so far (90 catches, 1402 yds and 10 tds last season).
