No way that happens in RL

Thatโs why they call it a mock. ๐
I'm old enough to remember when Caleb Williams was going to:

(1) Stay in school to earn NIL money instead of NFL money;
(2) Demand an equity stake in the NFL team drafting him;
(3) Never agree to be drafted by the Bears and force his way elsewhere.
Ignore the nonsense. https://t.co/ikJTh3KZyo
This dude has "Packer" written all over him
#Washington wideout Rome Odunze lingered on the Lucas Oil Field late Friday, long after the stadium had emptied out, trying to break 6.6 seconds in the three cone drill. This dude. pic.twitter.com/K6F1ZqN9Jn

Odunze would probably be the #1 receiver in most years.
6'3", 212#, 4.45 in the 40, 6.88 3 cone, 4.03 shuttle

They probably need to bring in three roster-worthy guys by training camp and two starting-quality guys, but Walker was an aberration in the drafting history.
I still like Edefuan Ulofoshio as mid-round guy. He's a bit older, but 4.56 and lead the broad and vertical might mean he'll go earlier than many expect, though his athleticism is his known strong suit.
Wilson (also older), Cooper or Gray would likely cost them a much higher pick, but is Gutekunst willing to spend it again on a non-premium position?
Gute has a history of throwing multiple bodies at a problem. I think heโll draft at least 3 lbs and 2 safeties.
As I understand it Williams and Harrison do not have agents, and have remaining college eligibility. Is it possible that they can say screw you and return to college if they do not like who drafts them? Maybe some quiet, behind the scenes conversations telling teams they do not want to be on that if you draft me it's a wasted pick as I'll go back to school and get lots of NIL $.
Somebody mustโve told him he better change that shit up young fella cause he wasnโt saying none of this before ๐

Highly doubtful. Emeka Egbuka and TreVeyon Henderson were likely day 2 guys with a chance to move up next year, but Williams and Harrison are going to get top-5 money.
It wouldn't surprise me if Williams has "issues" adapting to the NFL. He already shows an entitlement attitude and thinks he doesn't need an agent. Which is just stupid. There are guys like Mahomes who want to compete for championships, then there are guys who simply want to see how big his game check is.

"Hafleyโs new defense is expecting the safety and slot cornerback position to be interchangeable."
If that doesn't scream Cooper Dejean I don't know what does.
I have been wrong now on Shea McClellin and Josh Jackson. No way I'm wrong for the third time in my life.

I keep saying ... be wary of drafting IA db's. All they pay is zone. This kid seems to be a great prospect ,,, but ....

Mirror safeties make a lot of sense as to not be predictable (re: exploitable). Numerous guys also fit the bill this year.

For those of you in the "Kam Kinchens Kamp":
-tied for slowest 40-yard dash among Safeties
-tied for slowest 10-yard shuttle for Safeties
-worst broad jump
-RAS of 2.11 out of 10
Gute has only drafted 4 players with a RAS lower than 5.0 and all were mid/late rounders. Kinchens won't last until the mid/late rounds as someone will grab him earlier. Just won't be the Packers.
Could be more to the story. I would think they'd talk to him to see if he had any injuries or other physical issues when he was tested. Or they probably have an idea about his playing speed by watching tape and by scouts actually seeing him play in person.
Ack...Bortolini's arms measured 31 and 1/2"
May take him off Packers board....

Kinchensโ low numbers were a surprise as he looks good on tape. I give him credit for going for it, though. Iโm guessing Nubin knew his numbers werenโt going to be good either so he avoided the tests.
Kiper's lates mock has Arizona OT Jordan Morgan to Packers at #25...while this would make Pakrz happy, he lacks in two key areas of Packers metrics on OT...first he will be 23 by the time the season starts, and his arms are not quite 33 inches which is the magic number for the Packers at OT...which they already bend on because league average is 34"...which is not to say they wouldn't consider moving Morgan to OG...however, spending #25 on an OT, you'd think the intention is to play him at LT or RT at some point. Several higher quality CB in that mock would be available at 25, and I am guessing the Packers would spend it there rather than settle for an OT.

If 5 or 6 QB's go before GBP pick. Plenty of good tallant should slide down.
Iโm still on the Suamataia bandwagon. Heโs young (just turned 21 January 18th), has some nasty, athletic and Gutekunst has shown heโll take high-upside/traits players who may need a bit of development in Round 1 (Gary, Van Ness, Walker, Stokes and, of course, Jordan Love (and Musgrave in Round 2))

As an uninformed college football connoisseur, this seems like another draft hall for Gunt!

Exactly. Every year I hope plenty of QB's get selected before the Packers pick. For each QB selected before GB a very good player at another position gets closer for the Packers to grab.
Great year for WR as well that will go R1...so that will help the Packers pushing prospects down. I have a hunch there will be an Edge player sitting at 25 that Gutey won't be able to pass on.
Seems every time there is a WR heavy draft, Gute doesn't draft any. Unless you count Amari.

I don't follow UA football too closely but know they have some pretty good WRs. One of them, Jacob Cowing, is coming out this year. He ran a 4.38 forty at the combine and will probably be a mid-late round pick. Cowing is a little shit though.. 5'8" / 168 lbs.
The one to watch comes out next year (Tetairoa McMillan). He's a big dude and very productive so far (90 catches, 1402 yds and 10 tds last season).
