R J Young of FOX Sports has Blake Corum as his #2 steal of the draft and Braelon Allen as his #1 steal.  Packers would be good with either of them in round 3.

Don't see Corum being a Packer under any circumstances. If you're 5'7, you better have wheels. Darren Sproles wheels.

Corum is an excellent college player...can do many things well. That doesn't always translate to the NFL. And rarely translates to a spot on the Packers roster.

I probably will be proven wrong but I also don't see Corum in GB.  I agree with Chongo he was a pretty good CFB RB but I don't see him making a huge impact in the NFL at that size.

Jacobs is listed about 225 and Dillon is probably 250.

Corum's height isn't necessarily the issue.  He was 214 pounds at that combine. It comes down to whether he can hold up in blitz pickup at that weight. Aaron Jones is only 5'9" and 208 pounds.

They're going O-Line early and often. If, like Peter Schrager suggested, 12 OL come off the board in round 1, it could be a CB like Wiggins.

You look in the top 10 and it looks like (4) QB's, (4) WR's and Joe Alt.

If Gutey wants to jump up and he has the ammo to do it....it's gotta be for Joe Alt.

OL that fit what the Packers do, or are athletic enough that overrides the significant short comings...** = fringe acceptability...also not a comprehensive list, just the top guys.

OT Joe Alt - ND
OT Taliese Fuaga - Oregon State**
OC Jackson Powers-Johnson - Oregon**
OT/OG Troy Fautanu - Washington
OT Olu Fashanu - Penn St**
OG Graham Barton - Duke
OC/OG Sedrick Van Pran - Georgia
OT Tyler Guyton - Oklahoma
OT/OG Jordan Morgan - Arizona
OG Mason McCormick - S Dakota St
OC/OG Beaux Limmer - Arkansas
OC/OG/OT - Tanor Bortorlini - Bucky
OT/OG Trevor Keegan - Mich
OG Cooper Beebe - Kansas St
OT Kingsley Suamataia - BYU
OG Zak Zinter - Mich
OT/OG Blake Fisher - ND**
OG Sataoa Luamae - Utah
OT/OG Jalen Sundell - N Dakota St**
OC/OG Dylan McMahon - NC State
OC Matt Lee - UCF/Miami**

Packers will likely bring some competition in for Josh Myers...I am skeptical they'd spend a first rounder on JPJ from Oregon...because he isn't the prototypical size...he's only 6'3 and a little on the chonky side...but he's a freak athlete for a man of his size...question is...can he play guard also? Van Pran probably a little closer to ideal for what they want.

JPJ seems like he will end up in Pittsburgh or Baltimore. He is a DFH for what the Ravens do.

Probably will look heavily at flexible guys like Limmer and Bortorlini.

Matt Lee is an intriguing prospect...if he's there in the 7th, and they haven't addressed it, they may take a flyer on him. He's the most technically sound OC in the draft...but he's also far from Packers ideal...barely 6'3" and played probably around 285lbs though listed at 295.

Trade down, Gutey.

I'd say no to DeJean, unless we can grab him in the 2nd round, or later. He has, however, been off the boards in many mocks, prior to GB's pick at 25. Not worth it to move up to get him, either IMO. If we move up, for anybody, it had better be for a stud OT.  I'd go for OL with two of our first 3 picks, if Gute doesn't move up for somebody. Graham Barton has to be near the top of Gute's want list. I'm not sold on Nubin, either. Pretty weak S class this draft, IMO.

Guyton is a crazy athlete for his size...when evaluating OT, first two things you look at are feet and arm length. He has both...although his feet at times are a little out of control, but his balance is incredible...he recovers quickly when he mis-steps.

Usually guys this size do not project as OG...but MIGHT just be athletic enough to kick him inside if RT doesn't work out. He's not an every down LT...he is an emergency LT. Elite speed rushers will give him problems on the left side.

I'd really consider taking him at 25 given his athleticism. He might even benefit dropping to 315...or bumping up to 330 and switching to RG. I'd like to see a little more bend in his hips...but he's 6'7"...only so much bend he's gonna get no matter how much yoga he's doing.

For some reason, DeJean reminds me of a slimmer AJ Hawk...

I think DeJean needs to be a real possibility for GB at 25.  His versatility to play safety or even slot CB or drop down in the box and play hybrid LB could be key to this defense.

The future of the NFL is a back 7 of guys like DeJean.  The days of the traditional run stopping safety or thumping LB in the middle are over.

Besides, when have the Packers ever taken an interior OL in round 1?

The issues I have with DeJean are his fit in what's likely to be Hafley's system.

In zone or as a two-high safety, he has elite anticipation and is very good at reading what's in front of him overall. He's a solid tackler coming downhill. He's also very good at keeping the play in front of him. In Barry's system, that's a great fit.

In man, I don't see the ability to mirror or hand fight in press, and I don't see the lateral twitch to match up with good, especially slot, receivers. He gets beaten underneath when isolated against a man rather than reading and reacting.

The monkey wrench is Gutekunst saying he thinks the safeties and slot corner should basically be interchangeable. Do they want a guy in the slot you have to protect with a linebacker so he can simply play outside leverage? Might as well keep Nixon starting there.
