Yes I think his current production is a byproduct of Aaron Rodgers, but that doesn’t negate the fact that he has tons of physical upside and a great attitude/work ethic. Donald Driver never played without a HOF QB, I don’t think that negates his accomplishments. Lazard fits the system really well: he blocks, he runs great routes, and overall he does his job. He needs to improve his hands, but honesty he’s just in year 3, he will improve.

Lizard is a terrific run-blocker. If there was someone who might have benefitted from a position change in college, it was probably Lazard. At 6'5" and with those blocking skills, he could have become a TE. Now, he's a tweener: not fast or shifty enough to be a great receiver; too light and late to become a TE. I love the guy, but he really hasn't been able to find a spot to shine.

Fun fact:

Undated Allen Lazard has almost double the number of receptions in about 20 more targets, and double the # of TDs in his first three seasons than a former 7th round pick whom many think is one of the greatest WRs in Packers history. Oh, and Lazard missed a lot of time in his third year due to a significant injury/surgery.

When did that 7th rounder come into his own? Year 4, 70 receptions, 9 TDs and trip to the Pro Bowl.

Maybe Lazard should get another season or two to develop, no?

I think he's a solid 3, maybe more.  I wouldn't be sad at all to see him get more playing time over MVS and just let MVS be Alvin Harper (who hopefully catches the ball).

Definitely not going to ding him for the second half of the season coming back from a core injury.

I'm a big fan of Lazard.   Lunch pail type that is an all around  good football player.   You need guys like him on your team to win.   If only he was white and went to UWW, the fans would go ape shit.

It will be interesting to see if this MLF offense takes another step in the run heavy direction.  One of Lazard's top strengths is his blocking and leaning even more into the run game should create more or better opportunities for Lazard as a receiver; the more you run, the more the DB's have to respect the run, the better the situation for a physical WR to get open and convert.

This combined with Dillon getting more work is shaping up for a more physical offense which I can't wait to see.  Amari could go bananas in these circumstances, especially if the AR is still working the levers.

I never thought I would type this, but fuck him, I don't care.

Show up, don't show up, I'll be paying Direct TV $400 to watch the Packers this year.

Listening to an interview with Schlereth. He talked about it being "a lot of little things over the years" that has led to this. Said "you don't come to your QB and say that we want your input, you have earned it, get that input and then do exactly the opposite". "Those situations stacked up over the years". So if that is the case, and it is Murphy, should AR come out and give all the examples of when this happened?

If you believe anything Schlereth says I also have some ocean front property in Arizona I'll sell you.

Does this mean, by X4 etiquette (giving up before the outcome is determined), that you don't get to cheer for him when he throws a touchdown this year?

As much as it means those blaming the FO 100% don't get to cheer for the Packers at all.

Not at all, here's how I will sound:

"Touchdown Packers!!!! Woooo Whooooo! Fuck you Aaron."

Easy peasy.
