I know. The anticipation of how much better this banter is going to get makes me just giddy...

Keep your little chicken dick in your pants, it will happen naturally.

Bart Starr won the first 2 Super Bowls, plus prior to the first Super Bowl he won 5 NFL championships!!

Roethlisberger has already won 2 SB's. Brady, Elway, Montana, Aikman, Plunkett, Montana, Bradshaw, Staubach, Griese -- all won 2 or more SB's.

Brad Johnson, Dilfer, Rypien, Hostetler -- won the same number of SB's as Brent Faver. Whoop-de-freakin'-doo.

.....and Marino never won any.
First (and maybe only) chance to weight in on this.

May have been said already but bears repeating...

If he was at all serious about 2008 announcement, early 2009 announcement, and announcement 3 weeks ago then the simple fact is he is record slut.

He is not coming back to win a SB he wants the consecutive game record and that is it. Hell onces he gets it he might sit down with a hangnail infection.

He is a punk, no more, no less, just your run of the mill punk.

Brent always did a good job reading the obvious blitz, so Dom and Co. need to disguise alot of their calls. Of course, this is all conjecture as he hasn't taken a hit for real yet.

True, but he has not had any actual game action since last season, and won't be able to get too much live practice to risk him getting hurt.

I just don't see how he's going to be any good for the Vikes...he put everything he had into 2007 and still choked it away.

It was then that I knew he was done. When you let Eli Manning come into your yard at 20 below zero and he shows you up in the game to get you to the SB, you're done. He was timid in the cold windy Bears game that year, and he was timid in the NFC Championship game. This, plus his retirement is the reason I think TT and co moved on with Rodgers. And they totally made the right call. CKA is basically now throwing the hail mary pass, putting all his chips in, hoping for the 1 in a million shot. He's going to get burned. Thank god we have a GM with a brain.

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but it just seems that just about any other team in the league would send some nobody to take care of it.

Doesn't CKA have anything better to do? Was the team practicing during this time period?

The question I have is will TOG drive CKA to the airport or will he let him sink like Manjeenyous?

I've heard he has a very good source

I generally like to read his stuff more often than Glazer. He's like Arrigo with panache.

Well, I am one of Joe's hero's!

You must be listing to around the horn on espn? He wasn't an OC here,he was the QB coach for Favre for a few years under Sherman, and that's it. All those idiots on around the horn are freaking clueless morons.

That segment that they had was filled with lies and not even close to facts they were ranting about. I could do nothing but laugh at them all.
Signing Favre makes sense for the Vikings.
Apparently they do not believe in any of the QB they now have.
To get a good QB they either have to trade for one. (Does anyone have an extra good experienced QB that is willing to trade?)
Or they have to wait till next year and draft a QB. Then spend 1-3 years developing that player.
They also put butts in sets at home and away.
When the Favre thing fails: they can clean house getting rid of an over the hill QB, a bad head coach, and ineffective GM.
I can't recall all that many games in the past when Brent would have faced a 3-4 defense. I guess this is somewhat obvious since nobody in the Central runs it and most of the teams that do are in the AFC.

Still, it seems like the Packers may have an easier time than most teams coming up with some wrinkles that he hasn't seen often.

If I recall Tom Rossley was the OC. He had the audacity to show Brent video of his interceptions in an attempt to try and get Brent to play within the system and cut down boneheaded plays.

that is an awesome stat

Pretty sure MM and TT have to be laughing their asses off at this prima prick that Sherminator's sugar bear routine helped create

And those 2 Viking QB's were TJack and...Gus Frerotte.

A couple more lines for comparison purposes:

2008 Rodgers with Packers: 6-10 record, 93.8 rating, 28 TD, 13 INT, 4038 YDS
2008 Pennington with Dolpins: 11-5 record, 97.4 rating, 19 TD, 7 INT, 3653 YDS

Brent had more INTs than Rodgers & Pennington--COMBINED.
