Rodgers is hyper sensitive why is that a surprise?  He’s also passive aggressive.  Nothing new there.

Should he care what we or others think?  Probably not, but he does.  I think the criticism or critiques do fuel him.  So maybe we should talk more shit about him lol.

Rodgers is smart enough to have learned from the Favre disaster. He certainly wants to set himself up post-football, which means he probably shouldn’t have a very public showdown where he looks like the bad guy. It’s taken Favre a long time to rehab his image with all NFL fans, fans who would support any possible public facing post-football endeavor. Favre didn’t play the media game well and as a result he made TT, MM, and Rodgers the victim, especially after jumping to MIN. I think we’re getting to the point in this where GB needs to shut Rodgers up, give some ground, and keep his lockerroom happy...restructure, gamble on guaranteeing  ‘22/‘23, lower the cap figure, go get the stupid WR2 (whoever it is), re-sign Adams, and stop losing the media battle. It’s hard enough to get free agents to GB, don’t make it hard on yourself by giving off the perception you don’t even give a shit about you’re all time greatest player that is well loved in the lockerroom.

Is Love any good?  Any real reports from GB?  Seriously, are there any reports (other than typical team bs) that says he is/is not the guy?

I think the the Packers have a pretty good idea of what they have and they are factoring this into their discussions/nondiscussions with AR.

I would also guess AR has a pretty good take on the young fella by this time too.

Hard to say because there was almost zero off-season and a non tradition training camp last year. I would say the kid knows the offense, but has gotten very little meaningful reps with our key players. At a minimum he’s in meetings and they know his study habits, his football IQ, his grasp of the scheme, and his ability to understand what he’s seeing on film. Hopefully they have a good idea where he’s at from a mental side. Football is 90% preparation and 20% perspiration.

Truly though they dont have to rush any judgements on Love. He’s not going to be playing until 2024 unless Rodgers forces his way out before then.

Early reports from Silverstein and others were that Love's first season was basically a wash...but based on everything they saw and heard, Love was not good.

I have heard from a reliable source, Love was absolutely hideous when it comes to his ability to read the defense and adjust last season. That would align with one of his pre-draft criticisms...that his reaction time wasn't optimal.

A full off-season and training camp should give us a better idea. There is no question he has all the physical attributes to be an elite NFL QB. But so did Jay Cutler.

Did Rodgers have that rap at Cal?  No, he didn't.  Did Love have that rap at Mormon Tech?  Yes, he did.

Rookie QBs having a rough start isn't surprising.  Rookie QBs making the same mistakes at a much higher level in the NFL doesn't bode well.

Rodgers biggest knock is he held the ball high.

Anyone remember Rodger's first year in pre-season?  I thought he was a wasted pick at the time.  Good thing he developed.

And then when he took over, he was running out of the pocket and he tripped on the grass and injured his ankle? foot?   FRAA-GEE-LAY!

This is exactly what we heard in Rodgers first year.  Even his second.  Multiple "sources" confirmed that Craig Nall was outplaying him.

The draft can't come soon enough so we can talk about something that's actually happening.

But Rodgers never had a pancake on his head.

He did scout work the vast majority of the time last season, a fancy term for walk throughs with occasional  moments where he played the opposing QB to help the Packers D. He wasn't even with the 2nd string practice squad because that was Tim Boyle's gig.

How in the Hell was he "hideous" in adjusting and reading defenses when he wasn't even in any scenarios to be in that position?

Christ. When's the draft...

The Rodgers-Love Axis of Despair has moved from an acute to a chronic condition and its pretty much a straight line from here to the sanitarium at this point.

Nurse Ratched awaits his imminent (and pants-less) arrival

Sounds like 12 may be getting his wish...

Gutekunst said the Packers are still working through options with Rodgers’ contract and confirmed the team will need to do work on several contracts, including Rodgers’ deal, before the start of the 2021 season.

Rodgers is under contract through the 2023 season. His cap number sits at an NFL-high $37.2 million in 2021 and rises to over $39 million in 2022.

The Packers could lower his cap number with a long-term extension or a simple restructure, pushing money to future years. Any alteration to his contract would suggest Rodgers will be the Packers quarterback well past the 2021 season.

12 wants assurances, his agent wants cash. All the other agents will laugh at him at agent parties if he doesn't get Rodgers a taste of the new TV money
