Clearly you did not read my sarcasm. Of course a coach is gonna speak highly of a draft pick, especially a number, during TC. So the article and quotes really aren't surprising and don't really mean much.

No! I need instant satisfaction. He needs to look like LT on every play.
Or maybe just make a single tackle after 4 quarters against a bunch of guys that won't be in the league in a couple weeks
He’ll be out of the league in a couple of years.
Good news is he recorded a tackle tonight. That’s 1, let’s see if he can get 1 in the the first 3 games f the regular season now.

Something someone wrote really stands out for me. Which is that generally a very good rusher will show it on the field right away, even if there is a lot of learning to do (technique).
I sure hope that is not necessarily true because if it is, it doesn't look good.

Let's give Gary some love here, check out these clips. In just 6 snaps played, he definitely got some great push including mowing over pro bowler Kyle Long, putting him right on his ass. He made the most out of very limited opportunity:
The 4-man rush can be productive and disruptive for the #Packers defense too...

Look at the carnage and chaos it can cause with some games/twists.

Are we sure giving him props is allowed?
Believe PFF credited him with three pressures in six snaps. Second play may very well have been a TD absent the pressure.
He also missed sacking Mitchy by about a millisecond..
I like the way Angry Bald Man is using him right now. Less is more. Work him in situationally.
For this season, maybe sparing use of Gary is for the better. He can take advantage of being fresher when other guys are tired and his sheer athleticism can be more difficult to deal with for an O-Lineman that is already fatigued.
Also, that will be less wear and tear on his shoulder this year. He's already wearing some kind of brace on it and I thought I read its something he will have to have fixed in the off season.

No surgery needed unless it becomes more of an issue, it was just speculated from some previous players who have had a similar issue and then surgery that perhaps Gary would too. But both Gutenheimer and Gary have denied that surgery is needed or will happen.
And if you look at his TC practices, pre-season, and now game 1, doesn't appear the shoulder is an issue at all.
I have a torn Labrum (Labia??) in one shoulder and a torn Rotator Cuff in the other. Trust me... if Gary had a serious shoulder injury there is no way in hell he'd be able to shove Kyle Long like that and put him on his ass. The kid's shoulder if fine.

That's what ended Jay Cutler's career.
....and Nick Perry's
Pakrz Labia is only sprained. Fake news!

Incredibly good news. 3 pressures in 6 is exceptional and sure ups the odds there need not be concerns about Gary.
6 is an incredibly small data point and doesn't tell us much of anything at this point. Yeah, 3 pressures is better than 0 but we don't really know anything about this guy and won't know anything until be becomes part of a rotation.
Might want to consider giving him some of Fackrell's snaps.
I always thought that CWood ended Jay Cutler's career.
CWood didn’t end Cutlers career. He just stole his spirit, will & soul with “Same old Jay. We don’t need luck. We just need to be in position. Jay will throw us the ball”
Maybe the scorchiest shade any NFL player laid on another NFL player during an on field post game interview.

My Goodness. Look at Savage closing like a heat seeking missile to ruin what was a pretty well blocked run. That's what hot nasty bad ass speed looks like on defense. Stay healthy Savage
Even more impressive was the the diagnosis on that play, especially for a rookie. No hesitation whatsoever.
Yay a talented safety!
I've watched that play 20 times. He's fast as f**q and brings a message with him. Been a long time since anyone at safety in GB brought anything like that to the film room.
Dix is obviously better.
“Damn. That boy closes like me on an extension.......Haaaaaahaaaaaaa”
Dix on Bears sideline.
Similarly, saw some clips of Alexander's closing speed. So nice to have real D speed.

Didn’t play much, but looked awesome when he did play.
He's already had a better career than Jamal Reynolds.
Very low bar.
Baby steps.
Jump over J. Reynolds first....then continue to reach for the Reggie White/Charles Woodson bar.
Reynolds did have that one sack to end the game against Jacksonville.
