Aaron Rodgers traded to the NY Jets

If 12 comes back its as QB1, all reps.

I don't see how Rodgers can commit to 2 years. If he said today he was going to play next season does it mean anything?                                                                      By rights the Jets should be giving up a #1 if they want a QB like Rodgers that can give them a shot. But that contract is so bad the Packers are probably at least as motivated as the Jets to make a trade. Nothing would surprise me as far as compensation goes after seeing the contract explained in depth.

For sure. Rodgers is being traded because his contract will crush the Packers in 24 and 25, not because Love is a better QB.

My prediction: Rodgers announces he's coming back to GB and this will be his last year.

AR has indicated that a "mutual interest" was necessary for a return to the Packers and the only interest they've indicated is a desire to move on to Jordan Love at QB. Anything is possible but the return of AR to GB strikes me as pretty unlikely.

Will be shocked (of course I have been this whole time) if it doesn’t come this morning. The legal tampering period starts at noon ET today. The jets really want to know if they are needing to be talking to Jimmy G

If we don't get an answer before noon eastern today he's really kinda screwing the Jets no?  If they don't have an answer by then, they're going to need to start negotiating with Jimmy G.  They don't really have time to wait around for an answer from AR.

He can take his time. The Packers need to take ownership of this and move on.

Ummm...it seems to me they have. They are just trying to get some compensation for him. That's just smert bidness. Gebins and credoes to the silo(s) for that.

Exactly, someone has to grow a sack and make a decision now. It may already be made and media hasn’t gotten wind of it.

It didn't necessarily cost them D. Adams last year, but it didn't help. There was no certainty at QB when he decided he had enough and wanted a trade. Exactly.  How do two parties come back and work together amicably after a very public near-divorce?  It's like considering a divorce from your wife and encouraging another guy to visit her and take her off your hands.

for all the talk from Rodgers that he would not prolong his decision and would make it quickly, he has prolonged his decision and dragged this thing on to the very end.

I still wonder how Rodgers Agent who is the same agent as Jordan Love can represent the best interest of both clients. Someone has to get shorted.

We're an hour away from the start of the free agent negotiating period, and I'm told neither the Packers nor the Jets know what Aaron Rodgers is going to do.

Only if he retires. If not and a trade happens the Jets will insist (and rightfully so) that they control the modalities. Their nickel their rules.

Hard to believe he didn't announce something yesterday.  I thought for sure he would want to upstage Selection Sunday and the Oscars.   Maybe he does have an ounce of humility. But only an ounce.
