From the same dude 3 days ago:

I'll say everything I know:

Rodgers was leaning retirement. The only thing that made him think otherwise was the hiring of Hackett. From that point on, he was between the Jets and retirement - no prospect to resigning in Green Bay. Yesterday is when he decided he wanted to play for the Jets and all that's going on right now is the compensation negotiation.

Everyone is so busy trying to be first, no one ends up being right.

Welcome to "News in the Era of Social Media and Click-Driven Profiteering."

Every take that could ever be made on what Rodgers will do has been uttered at least a thousand times by journos, talk show hosts, bloggers, podcasters, media types, ad nauseum.

When whatever is going to happen, happens, the ones that were correct will pipe up and take their bow. And the rest of the sycophants in the media-sphere will clap and chimp grunt at them being right.

Welcome to the news cycle in 2023...it's the same shit whether it's sports, politics, entertainment or whatever gets people to click on links and generate the machine more money.

Could there ever be a universe where 12 comes back and he splits starts with 10?

I kinda had a moment earlier today when that thought crossed my mind, now its stuck in my head.  The odds are better if he stays to get another ring. One minute I want him gone then the next thing I know I want him back again. I hope that "Black Hole" brought him back to earth.

Hunter S Thompson as he opines about Life Decisions to his friend Hume

https://www.alexanderjarvis.co...the-meaning-of-life/

"Dear Hume,
You ask advice: ah, what a very human and very dangerous thing to do!
For to give advice to a man who asks what to do with his life implies something very close to egomania.

To presume to point a man to the right and ultimate goal— to point with a trembling finger in the RIGHT direction is something only a fool would take upon himself."

I am not a fool, but I respect your sincerity in asking my advice. I ask you though, in listening to what I say, to remember that all advice can only be a product of the man who gives it. What is truth to one may be disaster to another. I do not see life through your eyes, nor you through mine. If I were to attempt to give you specific advice, it would be too much like the blind leading the blind..."

Floating vs Swimming

Best thing about this trade is it's the last offseason we'll have to deal with 12's nonsense and we're in a countdown to be rid of Mark Murphy.  12's doing the Packer front office's PR for them right now. I'm less concerned with trade value and more looking forward to being rid of his antics with each passing hour.

It's like a disfunctional off between him and Murphy. Any person with a regular job or career should be dumbfounded by the lack of basic professional skills by both of them.
