The good news really is that this WILL get done. The Packers and Jets will meet in the middle and both teams will get ultimately what they want. Rodgers moves on from GB and the Jets welcome their HOF QB.

I'm not going to whine about compensation, Gute will get the best deal he could at this point.

The main takeaway for me is we are done with Rodgers and the drama he brings with him and finally, we can start a new era with Love. Good or bad, a new start was needed and we will have one with a young QB who is physically gifted, can make all the throws, and knows this offense.

The next step? Getting Murphy the F out of here in a couple more years. He needs to go, he needs to shut his piehole, and ride off into the sunset.

Pretty sure once that happens, this Silo/Triangle of Idiocy bullshit also goes with him.

Rodgers just said he will not be coming back to GB no matter what.    So what leverage does GB have?   The deal should have been done before that went public.

Either the deal is done or the Packers just got fucked

He's under contract with GB for the next two seasons...and NYJ don't have a QB.  Seems both sides have plenty of motivation to get it done.

The Packers have a HOF QB that the Jets want.  How is that not leverage?   If I have something you want and you'll be fucked if you don't get it, I'm gonna rake you over the coals.

Because the FO shopped him around while he was in the darkness after telling him they wanted him back.

Did you not listen to the interview?

And then he also said he wouldn't have come back to the Packers even if they asked him to come back because it was obvious that they were wanting to move on without him.

Dude was literally talking out of both sides of his mouth.  Amazing it was AJ who was the one to call him out on it.

Murphy can take Gute with him as well.

You are looking at it from only this offseason, he is looking at it from the last several offseasons.   Probably starting with the Jordan Love draft.    In his mind, and I agree with him, they were looking to move on earlier but the MVP seasons put a monkey wrench in that plan.

Rodgers putting it all on the Packers, can't say I blame him even if it may not be the whole truth (although maybe it is).  Pretty sure he learned from the Favre fiasco that if he wants to come back and not have half the fanbase booing him, he needs to kiss their ass a little on his way out.

Thanks for the memories Aaron.  I am SO glad I will never watch this McAfee program again, I honestly don't get how people enjoy it.

That was a great plan, draft  his replacement, hope AR  plays better than ever and then sell high.   They forgot about the sell high stuff.

And Love's slowed development. Covid year was a wash for him, doesn't sound like until 2022 did he take the biggest leap in his development.

And I still think there is no way this egomaniac want to share Hall of Fame induction with Brady.

I’m so old I remember when Brady was pilloried for upstaging the March Madness pairings showâ€Ķ.these guys will be upstaging the whole tournament, the Masters, Opening Day etc.

Most importantly the Badgers NIT run.

It is an okay show, but not with Rodgers. The show is unwatchable when Rodgers is on it.

Again, that's what he said.

He also said he likes direct communication, but never mentioned that he reached out to the Packers about what he was thinking/feeling until the last 10 days or so.

Did you not listen to the interview?  He only wants to play for the Jets.  It's either the Jets or retire.

The dude would rather live in a dark cave than play for the Packers again? I am sure Gutekunst will be using that argument to bolster his position? Let's see who blinks first. It won't be the Jets.
