Maybe not many on this board but MANY in general have completely forgotten that.
Yeah, this board is not a good representation of Packers fans at large.

Someone should start a thread about this
So the Jets, Packers, and Rodgers are separate silos?
We have crossed the Rubicon!
Here's a wild idea. Trade Rodgers to the Jets for their 2nd this year and Wilson. Jets get rid of a QB they don't want and keep their 13th. Packers get rid of a contract they don't want and get Love's Back up. Wilson gets to work with Clements and maybe he gets his career back on some kind of track. If he gets better you trade him before his contract is out or if Love fails maybe he becomes a better option.
Flame away!!
The Bears got a ransom for someone who may never play.
No surrender.

No doubt. Look how many people have been on this board for 20 years. This board is great for insights and instant news on the Packers.
Some might say it's a measure of respect and appreciation that GB expects something in return for a 1st ballot hof qb.
I would think the Jets still want to salvage Wilson by sitting behind Rodgers and learning a thing or two, which Rodgers would be glad to do (as he was with Jordan Love). I don't see the Jets giving up a first rounder. It would be nice if the Packers get a 2nd rounder in this year's draft and conditional pick in next year's draft. The Packers have a lot of holes to fill and they'll need as many (affordable) picks as they can get this year.
I actually think the Jets want Wilson. The Rodgers addition would give him a chance to learn the pro game and grow up. The Jets probably still view him as their QB of the future. From the Packers point of view he'd be a great pickup.
If the Packers did get the #13 pick in a trade they would almost certainly trade it for multiple picks so that player doesn't carry the pressure of being the guy traded for Rodgers.
Ugh, now somebody is suggesting that the Jets trade for Stafford instead.

Stafford is one hit away if anybody ever was. I wouldn't mind seeing that situation blow up on the Jets too. Get hung with a big contract and get about 2 games out of the guy. Douglas would really be putting his neck on the chopping block with a Stafford trade. The Jets want Rodgers.

One 0f the majesties of the English language is that there is a great difference between a wise man (Fedya) and a wise guy (Blair Kiel).

It's the Jets front office trying to prod the Packers into thinking they have another option.
LOL...yeah, go ahead and trade for Stafford. See how that works out for ya...
Go ahead and trade for the Stat Padder. The Packers can trade Rodgers to the Rams
I see all the talking heads say no way the Jets give 13 for Rodgers but if I am Gute I would just make 12 the highest paid back up and watch the league go nuts. What would you do!!!
I love all the ex-spurts say that the Jets are a QB away and Rodgers would make them SB contenders, then say he isn't worth a first round pick.
The entitlement in and around NYC on this is off the hook right now. Boomer lamenting that GB has no owner or it would be done by now but for the egos in GB. I hope the Packers are dug in even more now after the stunt last week.
it's aaron rodgers we are talking about here. the jets don't want to give up a first round pick? fuck them. take a hike.

Like when we bundled the Favre pick to trade up and get Matthews.
In fact this is the only reason I could see Gute taking a 2nd and 3rd instead of a 1st (with more picks in β24/β25). Hard to put on a kid that heβs the replacement for AR.
The NFL owners are scheduled to meet March 26-29. Perhaps Woody will want his new toy in the bag by then to show off. Or if a dealβs not done by then, Woody tries to force Murphyβs hand in person.
Iβm pretty sure GMβs attend those meetings too so there could be a Gute-Douglas cage match.
Pay per view?

If Gute gives this motherfucker away Dan Devineβs dog is getting shot by me.

The arrogance of Boomer saying the Packers should take scraps for Rodgers to just move on. Huh? We've moving on with as much draft capital as Gutekunst can barter to help the future. Packers are in no rush. If the Jets stubbornly hold on to 13 and the 2023 draft passes by we're into future compensation territory.
The 49er nuclear option is always there. Rodgers would forget about the Jets in a heartbeat if he could find his way there and the 49ers might be willing to over pay with the 2024 and 2025 credit card to make it happen.

Do you have evidence for this?
Evidence? Yeah, me and Rodgers talk all the time, then I call up Gutey to get his side of things.
The 49ers already tried to aquire him (you can bet Rodgers' agent let them know he'd be interested) and he said at Pebble I'm not going to San Fran (because the Packers don't want to trade him there, not because he doesn't want to go there). 49ers are as in win now mode as the Jets. It's not evidence, it's an avenue they haven't walked down yet that they could explore if the Jets are trying to lowball them. No one outside of the front offices of GB and the Jets knows anything, it's all just spitballing.
