I can't believe Eisen thinks Rodgers desperately wants to play in NY. It's literally his only option right now because the Packers limited the market.

My IQ is low enough. I stay away from that show.
Read a report the other day that the Jets are quietly shopping the 13th pick to move down in round one and pick up another three. Then they would have a lower 1st round pick while still gaining an extra third. The premise was they'd trade the lower 1st to the pack for AR12. Tried to find the link but couldn't.
If you read a report... that ain't quietly shopping.
In the beginning of Francesa's podcast today, he was drooling over the prospect of Rodgers throwing to the Mayer kid from Notre Dame. Is pick 13 coveted by both teams because they both have designs on grabbing him to give their respective qbs that elusive weapon at te?
Doubtful. Mayer isn't that dynamic.
1:10 "yeah, so Aaron, when it comes to the offseason, um- communication dwindles a little bit, um- respectively..."
If absolutely everyone involved even tangentially in any way to this is trying to make it as difficult as possible to move 12 from GB to the NYJ, they're all doing a great job!
I think anyone using the word βtangentiallyβ at X4 needs to understand this is X4.

He learned it on Rube Chat
Jets trade their pick 13 and their 2nd round pick to move up to the top part of the 1st round. They then trade that pick with the Packers pick 15 and Rodgers. Plus a 3rd round pick in 2024.

They could just ask for the Packers 3rd as part of the deal for the Packers to secure their 1st. No need to do all of that.
If the Jets said letβs swap the 13th overall pick for the Packers 3rd rounder this year and conditional pick in 2024 or 2025 Iβm sure GB would consider it.
Jets are not giving us the 13th pick...they are going to push this shit out past the draft then scramble to get it done before OTA's.
Were I Gutey, I'd tell them the price goes up after the draft. The best offer they are going to get is before the draft.
I donβt have a good baseline on Elijah Moore. If they think he can at least be a solid contributor then pick 43 + Moore and conditional 2024 picks - including ability to get a 2 or 1- would seem to make sense. I do think if Rodgers stays healthy in 2023 the Jets should be a playoff team, so you would think the very worst that 2024 pick would be is a 2nd rounder.
So a couple of 2s and Moore for Rodgers? Only other tweak is you may want to include a conditional 2025 choice as well. Maybe a 4 or 3 if Rodgers plays in 2024.
So a couple of 2s, a 3, and Moore? Itβs worth exploring.

So now you're making up stuff too Schef-Chongo-Turd ?
Kindly lose my number.
You can honestly write that the Jets are very reluctant to give up the 13th pick - that's verifiable and in sync with the current situation.
Anything beyond that is just masturbating on the internet. And it seems like we already have plenty of that available. Probably too much.

Elijah Moore traded to Cleveland. I wonder what the Jets are getting back?
Pick 42?
Jets are loading up on picks, probably trying to keep #13 but give GB similar or greater value in package
42 and 43?

42 and 43?
According to the Jimmy Johnson chart, the 13th pick is worth 1150.
The 42nd pick is 480 and the 72nd pick is worth 220.
If you throw in the Jets second round pick (44th overall) - that's another 460 and that gets you basically to even.
Maybe it could be Rodgers and the #15 overall pick
for the
13th overall pick and 2 seconds and 2 thirds/fourths.
Jets actually have 43rd
getting closer if this is the strategy

This seems to line up with some of the rumors and reports weβve heard about the trade conversations. Green Bay apparently wants to get at least one first-round pick. Joe Douglas and the Jets, unsurprisingly, are clearly not willing to give up a first-rounder.
Based on Breerβs report, it appears the Jetsβ demands are closer to being logical than the Packersβ. ...
curious if the Packers take a different player whether they stay at 13 or 15...if the flip even matters. less chance your top target is off the board I guess
Rodgers is worth more. JMHO.
Pack owns 45 too so that could be a nice haul. 4 picks in the top 45
Cobb and Big Dog should fill in nicely for Moore as targets for AR in NY.
*sarcasm*

Sorry, I didn't account for Miami losing their first round pick.
The Jets havenβt landed Aaron Rodgers yet, but they keep adding more offensive weapons in anticipation of the trade. Wide receiver Mecole Hardman agreed to terms with the Jets on a one-year deal that could be worth as much as $6.5 million, NFL Media reported.
